PS3 is just an Xbox360 and $200 duct taped together.

I like Sony, I really do. And I do plan to buy a PS3 at some point in the distant future. But my 360 keeps outshining it. Sony, we'll talk again after the price cut.

@148: Hilarious. Made my morning.

Sorry bootsielon for you having to fight the good fight by yourself. I was playing my PS3 and sleeping.

Plus, I never cared for the DMC series myself. I don't care that it went to the 360 either. When I saw there was already 150 comments, I knew it was the same old song and dance of how Sony sucks and is going to lose blah blah blah.....
Fanboys are like sunnis and shiites, they're never going to get along.

When questioned about Final Fantasy and how he would feel about competing with it should it ever grace the 360, Sakaguchi welcomes the challenge. Furthermore, he believes the series should be ported to the Xbox 360, as it would be very successful in North America and Europe. He also notes that the White Engine (Final Fantasy XIII's engine) is multiplatform, implying that a 360 port would be relatively easy.

Yet another bullet hole to the bottom of the sinking boat known as, "Reasons to buy a Playstation 3 over the 360."

@ pete "Sony May Cry" that was great! Lol

Sony keeps boosting their blueRay sales. Its all b/c of the PS3, if anymore exclusive goes multi-plate form. There's no reason why ppl should be spending the extra 10$ for that game when you get it cheaper on the other console and get the same effect.

Honestly! HOW COULD THEY SAY Rumble was last Gen!?

I Swear they got Monkeys running their company now.

"didn't care about this game anyways"

why is this the (now standard) Sony apologists defense against a lost exclusive, yet they wrote it feverishly it in ALL CAPS for months in lists of PS3 games vs. 360 games?

i hope its clear now, its about *games* and *gaming*. unlike hdmi, cell or bluray.

"In two years, the PS3 may catch up with the help of Europe and Japan. But, the 360 delivered a year early, will out-deliver this year, and probably next year as well. Even if the PS3 catches up in about the shortest time imaginable, two years by my judgement, the next gen will be right around the corner anyways. "

And thats my problem with MS. so you say 4 years MAX and the xbox 720 will be out?? Damn that sucks for people that buy the 360 next year, when MS will ABANDON yet another console, just like the original xbox.

See thats the thing i like about Sony. They are in it for the long haul. Playstation was produced for 11 YEARS!!!! It entered the industry on December 3, 1994 and was produced until March 23, 2006! Now thats awesome

Now lets look at the playstation2. It was launched March 4, 2000(October 26, 2000 in N.A) and is STILL going strong, and we are in 2007!! WOW 7 years so far, and it also launched with a weak lineup, didnt have exclusives until the Christmas season of 2001 which would be the PS3 equivalent of the christmas season of 2007, which is this year so we can only wait and see.

Now in contrast the original xbox came out November 15th, 2001 and MGS pretty much abandoned it by 2005,and reported a $4 billion dollar loss on this system.

But i guess being forced to buy a whole new system every 3-4 years is ok with some people, yeah sounds very familiar, sounds very PC-esque even, oh wait it sounds like an Operating System, wait yup sounds like just like an OS where you have to upgrade every 3-4 years, you will have to "upgrade" your console. This is the ultimate plan of MS.

I'm the same age as you Jack, and I started with the NES as well. After NES was Genesis, then N64. I play games not based on what reviews they are given, like you seem to. My list was exclusives and it has nothing to do with games being better or worse, just be sold on one system forever. The 360 is my next purchase and I'm glad everyday it steals PS3s thunder so I dont have to spend another huge chunk of change chasing down better games. The Wii's a fine system and people like you who only play one or two games and never look at what's to come are as blind as they get. All you see is lackluster graphics from screenshots and videos when you dont do what a game is meant to do, play it.

You call yourself a fan of Nintendo for 15 years then say the Wii is a piece of crap based on nothing but a current lack of games. Look at all the launches of all systems for the 24 years youve been a gamer. Most of them have had one or two great games with a few hits here and there followed by a drought, then a flood.

If you think sales are unimportant you are pretty damn dumb. It sure is hurting the PS3 by not getting sales and the Wii sure is doing much better with sales. Wake up from you metacritic lifestyle and play the games, not just stare at them. I love the 360 I love the Wii, I love the great games on Sony systems, but I do not love the Playstation 3.

Jojo29, which ever system finishes first always gets extended support. Second and third place systems almost always fade away in 5 years or less. The 2600, NES, SNES, PS1, and PS2 all had long life spans because they were the number one platforms. If you think that the PS3 will have a 10 year life span with its current rate of sales, I have beach front property to sell you in Colorado. As for the X-box 720. According to Peter Moore it won't see release until 2011 or 2012, that would make the 360 six to seven years old when its successor is released. Doesn't sound like a short life span to me.

Yup, Devil May Cry on Xbox 360 is a reality and Microsoft's gamers are no doubt happy about it. Capcom has a nice treat in store for everyone; just wait until April 12th.

Alright, to clear things up about the whole Wii not next-gen thing.
1. Nintendo itself said that the HARDWARE was not next-gen.
2. Nintendo believes that next-gen defined by the new experience that you will have on the consoles' new features, be they better graphics or your motion sensing controllers.

Why are 360 owners so concerned with the death of Sony? It can't be from a desire to see David prevail over Goliath, it's more like Goliath vs. Goliath right now.

I for one hope that all systems continue to thrive...in that scenario, all gamers win equally. I truly don't understand the whole "360 FTW!!!" mentality.

Meh, to each his own, I guess.

I just hope they make DMC4 take advantage of the 360 and not develop it for the lowest common denominator (ps3) to save time/money.

hahahah SDF you guys make me laugh. I would sure like to see even the slightest bit of proof that the 360 isn't as powerful and capable, if not more than the PS3. If you just read around, you see in all the side-by-side tests the 360 looks better. Get over it.. That's the way it is.. Capcom is the bomb! My favorite devs by far and I am so happy to see them give the 360 the love it deserves. Dead Rising, Lost Planet are AAA titles and you are only going to get to play them if you have a 360! And now with the 360 having all the great games the PS3 used to have exclusively, there really is no need to own a PS3. I do enjoy Motorstorm and RFOM but you can get equal experiences from other games on the 360. I own both consoles, but I have to tell you the 360 is owning the PS3 in games, online and community, oh and price. I buy a console to play games not watch movies and that's basically what the PS3 feels like. I am giving Sony some time to see what games they have coming out(i'm really tired of waiting) and if they don't I'm going to sell it, along with my 2nd 360 and buy a 360 Elite(hopefully they will still be available 4-6 months from now).

I'm a little undecided on this game. Still, it is good to see Sony lose another exclusive after they bashed us all with that price tag. Yeah, I still feel betrayed by Sony at E305.

This hurts Sony in two ways:
Indirectly -- less incentive to get a PS3 if it's also available elsewhere.
Directly -- less sales of DMC4 on PS3 if people are getting it on 360.

Non-exclusivity can be both good and bad for gamers. Good, for the obvious reason that it is available to you without investing in another system. Also good that the developer gets more $ to make more games. However, it can be bad in that the game is developed to the lowest common denominator, OR that the game is delayed while waiting for all versions to finish so that they can have a simultaneous release. At least with ports, these deficiencies don't really come into play.

This next part is trolling:
I remember a time when the PS3 killer exclusives list that was used as ammo in the flame wars included Assassin's Creed, Virtua Fighter 5, and Devil May Cry 4. Interesting to see how it has changed. At least there's a bright side for the PS3 supporters: the list is getting easier and easier to type :)

"But but but... we have FF13 and and and MGS4... Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!!"

ROFLCOPTER ... You know, its sad thats theres EVEN a Sony Defense Force.. that alone lets you know Sonys been fu*kin up badly to the point where their cheerleaders feel the need to become human shields..or sheep.

Wake up Sonysuckers, your PS3 is as good as dead. Just a matte rof time before MS4/FF13 is multiplatform, and you know it.

I doubt Square-Enix would hop on over to MS with the final fantasy series, since they have next to no relationship with them. IF they were to move, they'd probably go to the Wii; and we already know MGS4 will eventually be on all the platforms anyway. Konami's got a damn good money makin strategy there. Waiting for one of the systems to have their sales slow down, then dropping the same game for another console with 2 or 3 new things.

DMC4 is lucky to go over to 360. You guys think mgs4 will come over but it wont. And why can't microsoft make any good games they have to steal excluives from sony. Sony makes good games and has plenty of good exclusives to keep them on top.
