"If your game is not listed here, emulation is not yet supported on PLAYSTATION®3" - Sony BC site...

Hopefully that'll shut up the people who think that "Unlisted" equals "working" somehow... Unlisted means the game will not work, otherwise Sony would mark it as compatible with noticeable problems.

As for poor old deluded Sheppy, who says the numbers are wrong, well clearly he/she doesn't realise that this data is from Sony... Poor thing.

Matt B, well I have a PS3 and it wasn't worth the extra $200. it hasn't even been worth the price of my 360.

Sony promised us games impossible on the 360, which every lost exclusive directly rejects (should i list them?). why would anyone spend the extra money on hobbled versions of games (no rumble, limited online) that play better on cheaper hardware that has been out since 2005?

@45:

If what you're saying is correct, and there are some games with multiple SKU's that have different compatibilities, then it's important for Sony to cover all their bases and list the SKUs in question (which is located on the box as well as the title) rather than titles, it covers their bases should somebody with a supposed 3-star game runs into 1-star compatibility because their SKU's didn't match.

Also, if you're using SKU's (which stores often track) stores could potentially (if they wanted) tell a customer at the checkout if their game would work or not. This would probably be something far more likely at a GameStop or EB type store.

If you're that concerned with BC, then just get a PSTwo. Almost 100% BC and rumble to boot.

They said all, yes. More firmware upgrades are coming. Spinning this in a negative way is so stupid because they promised 1000 at Euro launch. I see 2000+. I hope they finish the backwards compatibility soon just so you guys shut the fuck up. Sony has the best backwards capability out there, aside from the Gameboy series. Lets see you play N64 games on your Wii (from the cartridge.)

No Ratchet & Clank? Good God... now that's a low blow.

But, hey, at least Psychonauts works! I hear the 360 people couldn't live without that one!
