If it is comfortable enough to use, I don't care about appearance.

I'd buy one for the PC. I hate WASD, and would LOVE that combo.

For a quick/different solution, you could use a Nunchuck and mouse, but that leaves the wiimote hanging (like with classic games, I guess)

Why not just use a Wii Remote instead of having it dangle, Nushio? :P
The Wii Remote can be a very accurate pointing tool, it's just that it hasn't been utilized properly in first-person games yet. >_

Oh, and that is a pretty nifty looking setup SplitFish has.

Wonder if they could be used on a PC, too...

For starters, BPM, I don't have an extra sensor bar, and haven't gotten aroudn making my own.
And for another, As big as a Wii fan I am, I still prefer a mouse over a wiimote, at least for the time being, in games like Starcraft.

Yeah, I need to make myself a sensor bar for my laptop... The normal one's LEDs are too far apart to be used at point-blank range.

But, hey, you provided a good reason. You get bonus points!

An abomination! A crime against controllers, keyboards and mice everywhere!
Seriously, not the prettiest periphal out there. Can you just immagine dealing with those wires on your lap? *Shudder*
And seventy bucks? Damn!

At least this brings up the possibility of RTS on that console. I really wish Microsoft would at least allow keyboards and mice to be used with their console. Even though it was a good try, BFME2 still was much less micro intensive than most RTS games. I can't immagine playing a game like Zero Hour on a controller. This type of periphal could help in that regard.

I just wish it wasn't so fugly.

It would be nice if you can get one of 3 only next gen system to wrestle the Wiimote from last gen Nintendo.

Rad idea, but Sony allows USB mice/keys on PS3 games anyway. This would have been better placed on 360.

Hmm... I'm so gonna try a mouse-and-nunchuk setup later. I had tried mouse-and-Wiimote (before I got the nunchuk) with GTA San Andreas before and it worked quite well. The mouse gave precision movements in one hand (including both walking direction and steering), the Wiimote offered further control in the other hand (movement control, weaponry, etc.).

Why does that scream ripoff to me.... Well... the wiimote was a ripoff of the mouse... But CMON...

But oh well.. it is a move however..I hope it's comfy to use.

Answer me this - will it feel like you are controlling an analog stick with a mouse? What I mean is, will the cursor speed be lightning quick like a kb/m setup or will it move slowly like an analog. I would imagine the game would have to be setup for this kind of thing.

Reminds me of when I used a mouse and a Microsoft Strategic Commander for FPS games. It worked pretty damn good in slower FPS's like Rainbow Six & Rogue Spear, but the distance you had to move the MS SC before it registered was too far for faster paced games so I returned it.
