Is this implying Duke Nukem will actually be released?

That game's never coming out because the release date for the game as told by 3Drealms is "When it's done."
IMO anyone not willing to give even a ballpark estimate on when a game is supposed to come out means that the game isn't in production yet.

Of course, the good people over there may just finally have gotten their asses in gear and decided to finally make the game after missing every console since the PS1.

Anything rumors or info online that is NOT from a MAGAZINE is NOT a April fools joke.

You know, I'm beginning to think that it'd take far less time for them to hand this project off to another developer. It wouldn't even matter if they scrapped all of the current assets and started from scratch. It'd still be released long before it'd be released under its current development cycle.

Hasn't the incentive to release the game in a timely manner already expired? I mean, they were supposed to have the game released sometime during the end of 2006, right? Otherwise, they pretty much forfeited their extra money or something.

Either that, or Jeremy's getting ready to do Prey2 :D

To be honest.....it is very likely that DUke Nukem Forever is actually being made.....

The license is still good, the character and franchise are still wanted, and 3DRealms did begin hiring for an unnamed project last year....

Now that the game engines have caught up to the fully interactive dream of DNF......don't be surprised.

They're -going- to compose music for it? Meaning that the old score has been thrown out? Again? Or is it just that they haven't actually started on the music yet in the ten years it's been in development?

and it said 3DRealms said "When this game is done, we will begin working on a sequel"
