It's really sad when you see this was technically possible for the first game. So, Monster Hunter 2 is not going to support online co-op...why??

"It's been a long time coming,"

No it hasn't, this has been out for ages now.

You don't need a compatible wifi adapter either. If your pc/laptop has a wifi card and a regular wired card as well, you can connect to the net through the wired card then use the wireless network card on your pc/laptop in conjunction with the xlink kai software to connect to the psp and play through your wired connection.

It was way hard before, and there were no help files on the site for PSP. It was quite annoying.

Yes, it has been going on for ages. Since '05, I've been seeing X-link, CHOKED with Monster Hunter game sessions. I'm talking seven-hundred people in the Monster Hunter game room during peak hours!

But you do need the right kinda' hardware, so I see a certain relevance in this article.

You can skip the need for a PC wireless card if you have a Linksys WRT54G router with the DD-WRT firmware running on it. The Xlink Kai Daemon (kaid) can run right on the router.

I've been running it for over a year now and it works great for my PSP and Xbox.

Can you go online with dial-up?

XLINK KAI has been doing this sort of thing since the PSP launched... IN JAPAN.

It's a CRIME that more games aren't infrastructure. It's something the PSP could really excel at and had almost a year headstart over the DS with... And it's been all but abandoned.
