With Rayman's musical mini-games and the multi-peripheral DDR franchise already making passes at the Wii, it would seem that Nintendo's system gets along famously with the rhythm genre. The two are like a pair of dazed lovers skipping blissfully through a park, unaware that their uncontrolled flailing and unexpected gyration is leaving everyone in the nearby vicinity with bloody noses and swollen eyeballs. That certainly sounds like the ideal Wii experience, at least according to EA -- they've just announced Boogie, a Wii-exclusive rhythm game that wants you to dance, pose and sing your way to living room stardom.
On the heels of XBLA's Boom Boom Rocket and EA's announced intention to bust into music games "sooner than you think" comes a game which, at first glance, appears to be the result of Tim Burton drunkenly colliding with a Singstar demo kiosk. Boogie will see gamers producing the moves and vocals for a music video, presumably making use of that super secret Wii microphone. The nunchuck is also incorporated here, giving rise to the possibility that the microphone peripheral itself may also harbor motion-sensing abilities akin to that of the Wiimote. What's the use of a microphone if you can't twirl it about like a buffoon?

Not sure for this game, But I think I am kind of fed up with all those numbers of "party" games coming on Wii system.
I mean it is more better if when you have a party or more than 2, I would like to have party every day but I got life on else too.

Clearly not in-game screens, but I like the idea, kinda gets me psyched.

"What?! But EA sucks! Madden 1337 is the same as 1998! They wouldn't know how to make an original game if they paid a bunch of executives to videotape themselves swimming in money and putting that into a game!"
Glad they've made something that doesn't look like anything before. Inis and Nintendo should make EBA Wii. Imagine singing and dancing!

Clearly not in game screens? What is so clear about that? Is it because of the EA logo?

This isn't your typical party game, well it is but it's a rhythm game first and foremost and that in itself is unique and will ultimately be fun and that's the important part.
Also, I always am afraid to question someones grammar because this is the internet and the person can be from another country than the USA but I always find it hard to agree with an argument that is so poorly written:
I mean it is more better if when you have a party or more than 2, I would like to have party every day but I got life on else too
Yikes!
Anyways, I look forward to this game because it shows a major publisher (the largest 3rd party publisher) being creative and original with the Wii which is what the system was designed for. Sure Godfather for the Wii works even though it's a port with creative Wii specific controls added on but to create an entirely new IP, bravo EA!

Sorry, I see this game, it's art style, and I can't help but think "finally, someone is doing a Bust A Groove sequel."
My only question for EA is how can a Flameheaded Lounge Singer possibly outdance a Zombie with an axe in his head?

The only reason why you are defending this games is because you know that we are right. This game is like a smack in the face. Not a real game. Mario is a real game, Zelda is a real game, Halo is a real game. This is a joke.

Capoeira was a hidden character in the infamous and "should be in your fucking collection" game called Bust A Groove for PSX. Seriously, their design is reflected well in the background characters design.
In fact, this games art style seems to rape Bust A Groove completely.

Honestly, if anything good has come from the Wii (and I'll be honest, I think a lot has), it's that it is really getting EA to start thinking outside of the box. This looks like an interesting project and both Madden and Godfather seemed to have made strong use of the Wiimotes capabilities.
If only Ubisofts efforts could par with EA, then we'd have something special

I don't know which is worse, trying to critique an obviously fake mathematical equation or trying to define a word that is misused as slang and passing it off as a real definition.

Well, it's ingame, except with a cranked up resolution. It's the same with like 80% of all other screenshots released to the public, if you haven't noticed by now.
"Wii=sucks."

Uhhh....I'm sure there's some sorta joke or irony or something in there that I don't get?

Oh bm, you totally schooled my n00b ass. I've never seen a screen that was obviously doctored to look the way it does...oh wait...yes I have...in fact I called this one too, and you quoted it, and then verified it, and then talked to me like I DIDN'T call it...touche, that is the first time that's been done to me.

Best post I've seen in a long time.
The game looks at least interesting. I'm not much for rhythm games but I could see myself renting it for some weekend diversion.

I can just imagine you going through my collection, finding things like Intelligence Qubed, Incredible Crisis, and Rez, and giving me a lecture on what "real" gaming is all about.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll get back to counting down the days until my copy of DJ Max Portable: Orphues Black Edition ships....

Not that that's a bad thing though, I'll take Bust-A-Groove's illegitimate step child any day of the week. Granted, a liscened one would be better, this looks like the next best thing.

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
