Let's see...destroy own $400 system to get a $600 system. No loss for the 360 owners. Heck, re-sell the PS3 for $500 easily and you can still buy a core 360 and end up much better than you started (assuming only the box sans hard drive was destroyed).

That would have been cool to buy a red-ring-of-death Xbox360 off someone and then smash it to get a free PS3. But then again, how many ring-of-deaths have happened to Xbox360s in Europe without them being fixed? I seem to recall that the warranty for the 360 in most of the EU is for a much longer duration than the standard warranty here in the US.

Every person that got a free TV now has to go and get the HDMI cable to make their new "HD-Era-Ushering" console that only comes with composite cables. Oh, and that cable costs $119 for 4ft of entry-level high quality (Monster 800 Series).

Lol would be awesome if people actually read the article.
THEY GOT A FREE CAB RIDE HOME, THAT MEANS THEY ARE SAFE FROM BEING ROBBED OR ANYTHING ELSE. Jeez people.
Also this would have been awesome, I bought mine from local GAMEstation if I knew Free tv's would be sold at virgin megastore in London, I would have camped for 2 days. :|
