With Nintendo's Virtual Console service already populated by all manner of leaping vermin, reckless racers and pointy-eared adventurers, the time has come for something more serious to occupy our time. And it doesn't get more serious than a political tale of an inter-kingdom love triangle and the slow subjugation of China, otherwise described as Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This Monday sees the release of the fourth and snappily titled game in the tactical sim series, Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of
No, that's it. Surely you didn't expect to conquer China, invade Monster World and traipse through an Enchanted Castle all in one day?

they never said they were going to release all the games from any of the classic systems. i have no idea were you came up with that, but so you know that is not the intention and never was, we will see kinda like you said best of for the most part and even that is subject to opinion, and there are also some 3rd parties from that era that wont release any of there titles to VC.

I would like to see 2-3 new games PER SYSTEM every week... they would see a lot more of my money that way.

and a lot more games would be lost in the shuffle. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they are releasing RotTK by itself is because if they released it along side other games, who would buy it? With it being the only game this week, more people might try it out. (which they should, because it's awesome.)
If more people buy it, nintendo can say "hey koei, look, your game sold X many copies! surely you'll want to put more up and make some easy money!" which they might do, then Nintendo can tell other 3rd parties "hey look everyone, koei is making tons of easy money off the virtual console. Don't you want to get some easy money, too?" leading to more 3rd parties putting games on the VC, possibly leading to more 3rd parties making original Wii games.

Never will happen, so might as well as get out of that dream world you live in.
I believe they said it would be 3 or 4 per week, though I could be off by 1 or so on each end. Not PER console, but PER week. If they did that many per console per week, you'd run through all the stuff people want to put up quickly, then you'd be whining there's nothing left to get.
Oye, some people will never be happy.

I might be wrong, but as far as I know they never said anything about a set schedule. Their one press release where they said 'games would be released every week' also said 'starting this week, 4 games' blahblahblah. Everyone took that as meaning '4 every week' when it really only meant '4 THIS week' and ever since then everyone has believed that they said 4 every week.

that would be pretty sucky.

As for the 800 NES / SNES games thing... the rights for probably 50% of those, if not more, are in limbo and / or the companies themselves no longer exist. That makes the VC being "complete" impossible.

Other than that, my biggest problem with VC so far is that... all the games have retained their slowdown issues. I mean wtf, thats pretty unacceptable, especially when you compare it to the XBLA games that get complete makeovers.
