Is this coming out in stores tomorrow? Sorry if that's a dumb question, I've been kind of out of the loop on this.

Totally awesome expansion, achievements go along with the rest of the game. You get 20pts for going to the Isles. This looks totally different than the rest of the game, definitely cool lookin' expansion!

Apparently it will eventually be included in some sort of "special" version at stores, but from what I've understood it won't be available as a standalone retail product for the 360.

Hey, I figured it out. You have to find a bed and rest for twenty four hours. In case anyone else was wondering and will happen upon this.

Thrilled it's out. Can't wait to play it. But not for $30, no way. I don't go over $20 for DLC. Anything more than that and I want a disc.
How do you justify retail pricing with no manufacturing costs to consider? The game is about 25% the size of Oblivion, right? With 250 Achievements?
So why am I paying 50% the retail price of the FULL GAME for 25% the gameplay return, and no disc/art/manual?
I say good day, sir! And the same goes for your horse armor friend over there! Be gone!

do you need the Oblivion disc to run this download? Or can it run as a standalone game?

#12 Manufacturing costs are nothing. I'd guess less than $2 per box. Most of the expense is R&D, marketing, license fees, etc. and those expenses don't go away just because it's downloadable.
The 250 achievements points represents the limit imposed by Microsoft for add-on content. It doesn't say anything about how much content there is compared to the full game.

MR MCD, Luke: unfortunately I think you guys screwed yourselves. Yeah, on top of downloading shivering isle, you also needed to launch oblivion while connected to xbox live, as they did also release a patch. I kinda figured that would happen and made a point to do so before xbox live went down.
sorry guys.

buh ... the only stupid thing about this, is that you need to be on 'live to validate expansions (and downloaded 'live arcade games).
