New WipEout game targeting PSP
Eurogamer has all the details on the new WipEout game for PSP. Entitled WipEout Pulse, the game is set to contain 24 reversible tracks, ad hoc and infrastructure multiplayer and, as you might expect, all manner of hovering vehicles attempting to blast each other into tiny smithereens. In fact, the smithereens are said to be so tiny, they are more deserving of the label, "smithereenies."
New features planned for WipEout Pulse are magnetic strips which force vehicles to cling to the track -- even if the track should decide to enter a loop or uncalled for vertical drop -- along with custom MP3 playback via Memory Stick and an online-enabled photo mode. As with the previous PSP title, WipEout Pure, Sony promises plenty of downloadable content for the game once it launches this September.

Wipeout pure was one of the few games that I got for PSP that I didn't immediately trade in. All the wipeout games are good, and I doubt Pulse will be an exception.

I am so excited to hear about this new Wipeout. I had such a great time with Wipeout Pure. I got addicted to wipeout pure so quickly. its one of the few orignal titles, on the psp, I actually liked. Adding the feature to let you play your mp3s while your racing was something i was hoping to see, so i'm glad their doing it for the new on. so yeah to quote sheepy, "HOT DAMN!"

Wipeout Pure is still one of the best PSP games. This sounds better. Good news.

I remember when this game was first shown, and people were up in arms that the screenshots were terrible for a PS3 game.

STOP! It is not WipEout, it's Wipeout! SOE, quit it!

Yeah, what's with the retared capitalized "E" in the title. You sure it's not pronounced "Wip E out"?

Like all good PSP games, this should be on the PS2 so people who don't want to be ripped off can actually play it.

Saneless...you can get a PSP for $150 with 1GB card a game and a movie...how the heck is that a ripoff again?
Just buy it from Sony directly using their Sony Style Visa and they'll give you $100 your first purchase (works to make the 60GB PS3 $499 too!)
