Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) 4 won't feature English translation

I just hope it doesn't take like 6 months to do the translation...

Is it really a surprise that Gyakuten Saiban 4 is Japanese-only?

In the case of the first two DS GS games, they were enhanced ports (with an additional case added to GS1) of existing GBA games. So, pretty much all of the resources for the DS versions already existed. Very little had to be made from the transition to GBA to DS. So, they figure they should add an English option to the game, to give the DS version an incentive for owners of the GBA versions to buy the game again.

But, GS4 is completely new. A brand new story, new characters, etc. Why delay the release of the game for the Japanese audience just to make an English option for it? Wouldn't make much sense to me.

2)What localization efforts? Have you played the Phoenix Wright games? For the most part they're ok, but there are parts in the games where the English is just down right laughable. It seriously wouldn't kill Capcom to pay somebody who knows English as a first language to go over the text of the game and fix it. Hey, I would even do it for like five bucks.

3)Has there been any actual confirmation of parts 3 and 4 coming to America? If not, then this is really old news, and I don't mean,"Oh, that's so last week", I mean you missed the boat by at least a couple of months.

Um. Duh. Any GS fan has known that for months now.

While there have been some oddities in the Phoenix Wright script (particularly Chapter 5 on the first game), it HAS been written by people who know English first. But, yeah, there needs to be another editor or two to go over typoes.

I think the recent content held by Capcom of America is definitely a sign that they plan to at least bring over the third game in the series.

No big deal, really. I don't buy import games, and I have enough patience to wait for the U.S. release.

Hows about simultaneous releases? Why so long before US release? If people are going to bitch and moan about something to Capcom it should be something legit like this, instead of about DMC4 on PS3.

It's pretty obvious that Capcom want to localise and sell GS3 to us before we can get our grubby mitts on an English GS4.

Shadow, what is wrong with you? PW has some of the best translation I've ever seen. Just some typos mostly. Did you play the english on the Japanese version? That had some errors.
