How is it Elite without an Xbox 360 Wireless Headset? Or did they not include one because of the problems that have been reported with them which could also make the package unElite.

God damn people, do you not realize your being forced to upgrade, just upgrade if you want, and saying the HD is overpriced, well sure it kinda is but it comes with the elite so its not like your buying a whole new console and an overpriced HD. Just understand this is reality if Microsoft put this all in from the start, what would they upgrade to, a slimmer console? Than you'd be complainging even more. Also we now know this is NOT a limited supply so it isn't like your gonna have to upgrade soon.

Stop your complaining! I am sick and tired of the "MS is screwing me up the @ss" talk. Follow my numbered list and SHUT UP!!!

1. For the idiots out there who think the elite is using 90nm, shut up, and listen. It is using the 65nm.
2. YES, it should have the HD-DVD player. Bad MS, bad MS!
3. This is a good decision on Microsoft side. You punks who complain about 3 SKUs and compare it to Nintento can sit down and listen to daddy Taskman. Do you think I am happy about my WII only doing 420P? Hell no. I want 720P minumum (Yes I know the difference is minimal between 720P and 1080P). I would pay more for a WII that can do 720P. It is because I am part of the group MS is marketing the Elite for. The elite is for the elite, also known as hard core gamers with serious cash. Cash that could potentially lead them down the PS3 path. Do you think I care that I lose moeny on this deal? No, I dont and it is because this amount of money is rather trivial to me. I'm going to ebay my 360 premium and probably take about a $150 - $200 loss. No big deal.
4. When the Xbox came out, for the obvious reason that HDMI was only owned by the elite (read:rich) there was no reason to release it. I honestly know only a few people with HDMI. Most barely have component. I need this because it helps me manage all my current gen and next gen systems. Plus I like IPTV and will need the larger drive. I also like the fact I will be getting a DVD drive that doesn't sound like a 747. There I am done. Is my grammar bad, oh hell yes but I don't care as I wanted to get this out quick.

A lot I mean A LOT of people are spinning this xbox360fanboy.com. I hope you read this comment, maybe it would help you write a good point of view that'll go against these anti microsoft fanboys, and the already fans that are just so gullible and unable to do math for themselves that are seeing the ps3 in a better light now ..

First off, forget anything sony is saying at all.. they are the biggest name callers in the business believe it. After a few months of good blue ray sales, they were trying to convince people who may consider buying one that it is a waste of time because they have already won, and try to get the people who own it to give up on their system. Due to the gullibleness of everyone, it is probably going to guarantee their victory.

And they went off trying to say that their drm on blue ray can not be cracked, and months after release, parts of it did get cracked, I heard all of it but maybe not..

Anyway, on to this spin bs, this is my take on this

First an early indication of what a lot are thinking about it. A poll at gamespots elite sticky, 39 percent are planning on buying it. 12 percent are already saying they are going to just get the hdd drive by itself. That's 51 percent people who say they like this so far, and you can be sure a lot of 360 hating fanboys would of probably tried to ruin that poll, so that is a pretty good indication since it wasn't even lower than that.

People like to say "good move microsoft, the 360 is good price and ps3 is a rip off"

They were considering both of the first original versions.

The 20gb hdd alone cost $89.99. This elite 360 cost $479.99. Just a year or two ago you can basically get a hard drive and if you do the math, it would be 1 dollar a gig. OK now remember the part when people say xbox 360 with the 229 hard drive isn't expensive.. now they are calling this expensive! Are you crazy?! You guys are flip flopping. If you think of the space of this hard drive alone, then you'll figure out that if you try to multiply the cost of the 20gb hard drive to the price of the new one, you'd realize you're getting a good deal. And this is an option, k.. people are taking this as microsoft forcing you to buy it. This is like complaining about collectors editions of games and movies being made. It's kind of a pea brain argument. Unlike sony, Microsoft is giving you some nice optional choices. You don't have to buy this version.

$398.99 is the price of the 20 gb hard drive 360 over at amazon and the 120 hard drive alone is $179.99. That's around double the price for 6 times the amount of space for the 20 gig version. It's only around 120 dollars more than the other version, and if you round it off, if they charged you based on how much gigs they give you, multiplied 89.99 of the 20 gig one by 6 because of the 120 worth of gigs, that would cost 539.94. And they could even throw off 200 dollars of that and it would still be expensive.

I know they charge way to much for hard drive space to begin with with the 20gig version, but just because people justify microsofts price for it, I wanted to show if that's justifiable, then this is really justifiable.

If you are all going crazy on the price of this, you have to stop saying the original isn't over priced, because this set is a lot better deal for what you get, even though it doesn't come with a hd-dvd, period.

I think the anger is justified on this one. Granted, you don't have to buy the new system and things like this happen all the time in business. However, Microsoft made claims that their system worked fine and then down the road they offer an extended warranty b/c the system was glitchy as hell. Microsoft also denied any claims of a new system coming out with HDMI capability saying it was unnecessary and then we have the elite. Now we have the elite system that seemingly gives us everything we want in the 360 but all they give is an impractical bigger harddrive and HDMI hook ups. These marginal changes should terrify potential buyers because of the fear of future glitches and the fact that we all know there could be and should be more improvements made to the system. Where is the WiFi? Where is the 60nm chip? Where is the HD DVD capability? Is there going to be a new streamlined version: lighter, sleeker, with all the things this current new system is missing? It makes one wonder where does it all end? Now it is our choice to buy a new system but I want to be an informed consumer, I don't want to get one system when a few months later something better is going to come out and the company keeps it under wraps so I keep spending my money. The thing that gets me the most about this is that this industry is losing sight of what it should be doing and that is giving us the best possible gaming experience in one system.

THEY KNOW THEY WILL HAVE 10MILLION PISSED OF CUSTOMERS ME INCLUDED. HE SAID THEY'RE WORKING ON A SOLUTION. WATCH THE VIDEO AND SEE FORYOURSELF AND GO DRINK A GLASS OF WATER LOL!!! HILLARIOUS!!

half ass again, why come out with something new like this that u still have to buy the separate hdd movie player for 200.00. why wasnt it put inside when they upgraded. stupid!
