NES controller cell phone mod
We've already got NES controller belt buckles, Nintendo underwear, and loads of other useless stuff, why not an NES-themed cell phone? DIYHappy took apart a Nokia 3200 and stuffed it inside a gutted NES controller. The result is an ordinary NES controller on one side, cell phone screen and keys on the other. Practical? No. Retro cool? Yes. Too bad it isn't a real NES cell phone. We'd love to send text messages with just the A and B buttons. Check out the video after the jump.

His cuts were crap, and it looks hacky as heck, but still a cool idea. would love to see someone with some actual skill do this. Make it a real Flip Phone, that would be too cool.

Yeh it doesn't seem to be a very carefully implemented hack. The phone isn't really integrated into the controller, more shoved, in it's entirety, into the controller shell. But yeh, a cool idea.... albeit from June last year.

Could the phone look any rougher?
This is a good example of why someone that can't draw a straight line shouldn't attempt a project like this.

Is it just me, or are retro themed projects wearing thin.

No offense joystiq, but this story is old.
