I have Enchanted Arms for my 360. (Down PS3 Fanboys down!)

I'd say its a pretty good game. I am about 10 hours into the game. The fighting system is a lot of fun in my opinion, but then again I LOVED FF Tactics, which sorta does the same thing but on a smaller scale. If you really like RPGs then I'd go ahead and say this one is a buy. 360 or PS3, although I'm not sure if the latter will have anything added onto it or not.

@ Geoff -- good to know! I read somewhere that they are adding something. I can't remember what. From what I read of reviews, I'm skeptical, but I'm forgiving with RPGs, so I'll give it a try and probably review it here =)

I had it for the 360 as well and got about 7 hour into it and then all of a sudden it just got really difficult. Most of it was due to the annoying as hell Vitality Points (different from Health Points) where the longer you are in battle the more VP you lost so you couldn't use that character again until you found a refil station, which were scarce in some areas. Anyways the story was good, the fighting system was OK but the VP system killed it for me.

Thanks for your comments guys--I am semi-interested in this but I am an RPG stickler and an FF maniac (two things that sometimes butt heads).

I'll rent this game and if I get into it enough I'll buy it.

I'm not too worried about the VP thing--I tend to like difficult gameplay. I love FFVIII's draw system.

Haha ya Vitality Points can get annoying, but as long as you have enough golems you should get through fine.

What Tyler said. In the beginning of the game the English voices will cause you to shove ice picks deep into your ears. TURN THEM OFF! Unless they get re-made for the PS3 version.

I never finished the 360 version...I don't really recall why. I think something bright and shiny distracted me.

Lately I've been playing FF XII and Valkyrie Profile 2 on my PS2 while my PS3 crunches on Folding@Home and my 360 and Wii hold down stacks of papers or something... I can't wait for the JRPG's to start rolling in for the PS3!!

I will say this, that screenshot sucks. The graphics looked so much better than that to me.

Anywho, the game is alright but not the best. The CGs are awesome. The gameplay is fair. While there is some strategy involved you may not think twice for most battles, really just on fighting to obtain Golems or boss battles will you need to think. The VP system isn't really that hard if you have enough Golems to switch in and out when your characters need a break. Pretty much Atsuma never needs one since he has a high VP count. Speaking of the Golems, I like em. I thought it was a pretty cool idea but I would've hoped they had some translation as well. I couldn't understand some of their Japanese. AND I didn't hate the voice acting. If you've played any anime RPGs, then the VA work should be ok. Seriously not the worst I've heard.
