Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo hitting Japanese PSN in April
Are you in the mood to run on walls, acrobatically decapitate your enemies and wear skintight leather, but all too aware that these activities are generally frowned upon by the greater part of society? If you answered "yes" or managed to emit any sort of monosyllabic response, then Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a game that just might appeal to you. If, like this blogger, you're slightly stunned by your preparation to buy the once Xbox classic for a third time, you'd do well to note the April 27 release of a demo on the Japanese PlayStation Network store. With no confirmation of an American or European demo just yet, you might choose to wait until Ninja Gaiden Sigma's June release. Then again, there are other tactics you might use in gaining access to Ryu's PS3 debut.

I already have accounts setup for the US, UK, Hong Kong, and Japan, so I always have the latest demos.
Ex. Hot Shots Golf 5 Demo (out in the Japan and Hong Kong store).

"...or managed to emit any sort of monosyllabic response"
For what it's worth, I said "..."

As a guy who skipped it the first time because they kept releasing expansion packs and ultra releases, I waited and waited for the ultimate version. Considering they added a new character, completely redid the graphics from the ground up, and even had their director ranting about how other developers complaining about the challenge of PS3 development are weaklings... I think it's time to count down the days until April 27th to DL the demo.
First Ridge Racer 7 decals featuring Code Geass, then Hot Shots Golf 5 demo, and now this. Japans PS Store is just sooo much better.

yay ninja gaiden black........er
generaldane @ Mar 29th 2007 2:49PM
Code Geass >almost all animes right now (notable exception deathnote)
Jack of No Trades @ Mar 29th 2007 2:54PM
Ninja Gaiden Black was my most favorite experience on Xbox.
Hoffer @ Mar 29th 2007 2:56PM
I tried this game on the Xbox and found it way too hard. I'm glad there is going to be a demo for it. I'd like to give it a try again. Maybe my skills have improved.
sheppy @ Mar 29th 2007 2:58PM
Heh, I introduced Code Geass to my anime night (any effort I can make to push Shojo out of the lineup is a small victory for me...) and one guy hates it. He doesn't like heroes who are villians. Personally, I love it. Watching Lulouch is like watching a Super Nova. You KNOW it will not end well for him and you expect things to go to hell any second, the only question is how many will die in the process.
I'm holding off on watching Deathnote until I finish reading the manga.

Dammit.
I've been saving for a new PC for going on 4 months now. Then a game like this comes along and it will take everything I have to resist buying a PS3. I've played and beat Ninja Gaiden/Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja, and I am a diehard fan of the game.
For a good read, pickup this months Independent PSM and read the article about this game. You'll see why Team Ninja makes the best games money can buy. They even take a few jabs at DMC.

"You'll see why Team Ninja makes the best games money can buy."
Well, there's Ninja Gaiden... and, ummmm, Ninja Gaiden... and, yeah.
generaldane @ Mar 29th 2007 3:30PM
@sheppy it will be ending soon i hear there willk be a season two though anywya i wouldnt advice watching the deathnote anime after reading the manga because half of the fun in deathnote is the surprises and the anime have a lot of those while i prefer Luluouche to Light i like the deathnote anime more.
ok back on topic Ninja gaiden was my favorite action adventure of last gen however enough remakes is enough already dammit.
sheppy @ Mar 29th 2007 3:48PM
@generaldane
I usually read the mangas first in most instances. In the mangas, they tend to have to get to the point or create readable blocks independant of one another. The pacing is usually much, much better in a Manga.
However, an anime has the advantage of being able to develop many more characters at once compared to a manga. Take, for example, Naruto. Friend of mine only read the manga so he was quite suprised at the huge amount of supporting cast the anime featured when in the manga, they were barely more than background art.
However, when an anime and manga try to match pace with one another, you either get horribly drawn out stories (ala Dragonball Z) or a massive amount of worthless filler episodes (ala Naruto and Roroken).

Having watched the Hi-Def comparison between the original gaiden and the new Sigma, I can honestly say that I am psyched for Sigma. It looks AMAZING (not that the original didn't look great for it's time) and the added Rachel chapters make it a no brainer (also the dual katanas...awesome)
Oh and Geass sucks, Pizza Hut supports the revolution, nuff said.
(Don't read the Death Note manga whatever you do, you will be angry. Very, very angry)
generaldane @ Mar 29th 2007 4:58PM
Anonymous failed a life for saying geass sucks
Also sheppy its is sad about what happen to Rurouni Kenshin anime though i still think the manga is the best there is.
gregory mitchell @ Mar 29th 2007 5:46PM
if only team ninja would make a DBZ or Inuyasha game....
Rob Accomando @ Mar 29th 2007 6:38PM
I wonder if they're releasing this on the PS3 to test the waters and see if it sells well... Then they'll announce Ninja Gaiden 2 either exclusive to PS3 or Multiplatform. Hmmmmmmm...
