April Fool's Alert #2: David Jaffe explodes on Geoff Keighley

David Jaffe will finally lose it tomorrow on GameTrailers.com during an interview with Geoff Keighley. The cubby Jaffe will finally have a lover's quarrel on camera with the twinkie Keighley and say, "$%@& you man, why do I have to be humble to you? I'll $%&@ you up your @$$!" Yeah David, don't let Keighley push you around, enough is enough!
This April Fool's Day joke is based on Jaffe's previous outbursts. There was the drunken tirade at the Playboy Mansion and once on Keighley's show, GameHead, Jaffe had some choice words about a Gamespot story on him. We certainly look forward to seeing what scripted crazy-talk Jaffe will unleash on Keighley. Then again, taking Jaffe into account, it could all be real!

You know, I loved God of War, and I am currently loving God of War 2. But this guy annoys the hell out of me. I'm not too sure why though....he is just too cocky. Maybe it's the Sonyness that looms over him, I just can't stand it. He acts like since he made two great games, that everything he touches and knows is going to turn to gold.

I don't think he is overrated, after all he made the best 3rd person action game ever made, TWICE. Furthermore, I don't think he is arrogant, since he isn't really in love with god of war, and he isn't rambling about how good his games are, he simply says that we decide how good games are with sales. Same with Cory Barlog, which is underrated by the way.

Jaffe just tells it like it is. Considering he's been a part of Mickey Mania, Twisted Metal and God of War, three great games, I'd also say he is definitely a talented individual. He's also an ass at times, but I'd love to be in his position of getting to work on projects that I want to work on, and generally doing what I enjoy doing, and doing it well. Part of the reason he is able to do that is his attitude, so good for him, better than the people that bend over for anyone and are just saying whatever they think they're supposed to be saying.

Sure, but independent thought and being a dickhead are not inseparable. The biggest difference between Jaffe and Cliffy B, or even Will Wright or Sid Meier, is that Jaffe, in public and especially on camera or in front of a microphone, acts like an autistic 4-year-old instead of a confident person who has a basic level of social function...

First of all he's made good games so his work does speak for itself. Second, his language and his projects are separate issues since he never brags about his projects (using the word never losely as if some of u posters takes things damn too literally). Third, a 4 year old I don't think talks like that (being the hypocrite as I am taking ur comment literally). I think he's done a superb job so far and u know what, his language doesn't impact the quality of the games he's helped produced. Quite frankly speaking, if he were an xbox developer, I'd bet joystiq would say how cool is instead of twisting his image indirectly as they do with all sony news ("Oh look sony comes out with elite trying to hog negative spotlight away").
But then again, this is just my opinion and i'm just a ranting fanboy that'll prob never read this page again . . .

True obo, but then again, that's part of what I appreciate about him. He's being himself, and doesn't give a damn about trying to be nice or fit into how he "should" be acting. Not saying that the other people you listed aren't actually nice, eloquent, or that they aren't as good at what they do, just that I like how Jaffe doesn't stop being Jaffe. Sort of like how even though I don't care for Nintendo, I like Reggie, and appreciate what he's doing for the company.
I've seen and read plenty of interviews where Jaffe comes across as the smart, creative person he is, and I've done the same for many other people. But I rarely see interviews as entertaining as his often are, and it's because of his antics.

WHY does everyone have this negative image of him? Sure he is loud and speaks his mind but that is because he is not afraid of what people think of him. Personally I don't think he is cocky at all. He doesn't think he is the best i dunno WHERE THE FUCK people get this image of him. I have been keeping up with his blog for over a year now. He always lets people know what he thinks in a BLOG. WOW SO WHAT? THATS WHAT ITS THERE FOR. He doesn't give a fuck what people think and doesn't sugar coat his ideas. Again I don't see him as the guy who thinks he is the best at what he does. WHY DO PEOPLE GET THIS IMAGE OF HIM? He always speaks highly of OTHER developers. Fuck it pisses me off when people continually misread him to no end.

Ok I was expecting an explosion...explosion to me means physical violence, or close to it.
David Jaffe, who says fuck ALL the time, said it 2x...and this qualifies as an "explosion" why?
