Fans get their wish: ECW coming to SmackDown vs Raw 2008

A while back, I asked what readers wanted to see from SmackDown vs Raw 2008. One of the most requested additions was that of ECW wrestlers. Well, either someone was listening or they think just like PSP Fanboy readers. THQ is saying ECW will have a "significant" presence in this year's wrestler. ECW superstars, arenas and luckily weapons will be in the game. On the gameplay front, THQ said "realism and strategy are at the forefront". There will be a new submission system, new rosters, more interaction areas, more outside the ring action, new online community additions, and finally a combined season and general manager mode.

Sounds like this will be the best WWE game yet!

The only people I really like in ECW, are RVD and Bobby Lashley. Oh yeah, and that pycho vampire chick, I like her entrance. :P

YUP seems 2 be delicious but what about goldberg brocklesnar they r not seen on th psp yet please get then in aswell not me but many will wish 2 have it please get them in.

Listening? I don't mean to be a buzz-kill here, but I doubt this move has -anything- to do with the rabid fans demanding ECW.

Of course they'll chuck in ECW shills in their new game - it's a WWE product that Vince wants to promote. Remember, Raw vs. Smackdown 2007 is essentially based on the events from the start of 2006! (Just like 2006 was actually based off of 2005.) Naturally, ECW was just on the launch pad at that point; now it's a 2008-title (2007 in WWE terms) so you got ECW. Very expected.

This is a WWE title, and it would be naive of fans and gamers-alike to think that ECW wouldn't be incorporated in some capacity. Hell, the next title could very weel be WWE vs. ECW, or something of that sort.
