I thought when the German Leizpig or something announced that BWii and Strikers had online components? Still more games and more experiences in them are good.

You are correct, hvnlysoldr. BWii and MSC were both announced to have Wi-Fi at the game show in Germany back in August. However, I believe this is the first time that details about the online modes for MSC have been announced (we already know BWii's online modes).

I am really looking forward to this game. Super Mario Strikers was one of my favorite GameCube games. I am only saddened that we have to wait so much longer than Europe (and Australia) for this game.

They should factor in early disconnectors in the rankings. Such as listing how many times a person has disconnected from matches or factoring a disconnect in as a negative rank score. This would deter people from disconnecting and/or playing with people who have high disconnect scores. What about shoddy internet connections you ask? Well those people shouldn't be playing online anyway and nobody would want to play with them (laaaaaggg).

Just have decimal (not integer) win scores. If you stay in the whole game, you get +1 for winning and -1 for losing. If you disconnect, you get +/- (played time/match length) if you were winning/losing at disconnect. If you play 5 minutes of a 15 minute game, and you were down when you disconnected, you'd get -1/3 to your score. Simple, effective. No?

They should do it one of 2 ways

Either the way Metroid Prime Hunters did it (display connect percentage as part of your leaderboard stats, so that the dcers can be weeded out from the legits)

or the way Phantasy Star Online Episode III did it; have wins, losses, and disconnects as seperate categories

Who else here can't wait for this game: Online or off, i'll live for this!!
