Tiberium Wars 'commands' UK charts, 'conquers' PS3 Resistance
Back in August 1999 Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun dominated the UK's All Formats Chart for a 4-week stretch. Today the EA-owned RTS series is back on top, as Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars debuts at #1 (for the week ending March 31) -- and there can be only one, #1. Indeed, just as PlayStation 3 hardware sales have quickly cooled, so have sales of the console's top software titles, Resistance and Motorstorm, both dropping more than 60% in sales from two weeks ago (when the titles commanded the top spots) to last week, when they slipped, however slightly in the rankings to #2 and #3. Coincidentally, this isn't the first time that C&C and PlayStation have done the bump n' grind on UK sales charts. During the final week of September 1995, both Westwood Studios' original Command & Conquer (Tiberian Dawn) and Sony's first PlayStation system made their UK retail debuts.

Billy Dee Williams plays GDI Director Redmond Boyle, in the video game Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, making him the second former Star Wars actor to appear in a Command and Conquer game. The first being James Earl Jones as GDI General James Solomon in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun.

That last bit really isn't 'ironic' at all.
JodyAnthony @ Apr 3rd 2007 3:51PM
"That's not ironic, it's just coincidental!"
JodyAnthony @ Apr 3rd 2007 3:52PM
"The use of words expressing something other than their literal intentions, now that. is. irony!"

"Destiny has cheated me, by
forcing me to decide upon
the woman that I idolize
Or the hands of an automotan
Without these hands I can't complete
The opera that was captivating her
but if I keep them, and she marries him
then he probably won't want me dating her"

When is the 360 version of C&C going to hit the states? I'd prefer this game on PC, but my PC doesn't do games and isn't worth upgrading.

Command and Conquer 3 hits the Xbox 360 on May 8th I believe.
Intentless @ Apr 3rd 2007 4:06PM
May 8th sounds right...

This game deserves to top sales charts.

Sweet...another A List title coming to the 360 and not to the PS3.
rfom @ Apr 4th 2007 4:10AM
Sweet...playing a RTS on a console without keyboard mouse support.
Really, the 360 is turning out more and more to be a PC clone - so many games out on both PC as well a "exclsuive" on 360 (like Far Cru, HL2, KOTR were "exclusive" on XBOX1). Why spend 399 on a console when you can play the same type of games on PC?
Tim @ Apr 12th 2007 1:51AM
Kotor is better on Xbox. And came out like a year before it.
Your argument makes sense if you're a fan of year old games. I'm not though. I usually pick up new games.
