Interesting. I've never played NiGHTS either. Don't feel like I'm missing much, though...

Rubang B: I had *that voice* from the trailer in my head the whole time but as soon as the word wasn't written down in front of me, I couldn't recall it for the life of me! :)

"It's something you step on, like the floor! The floor is free, why shouldn't the pedal be free?"

I don't know about your preferences, but if I ever rented or bought a place that didn't have a floor, I'd expect a huge price drop on it. So yeah, I pay for my floor.

I was one of the people defending the wii on that post about cooking mama the other day. And I certainly wasn't defending cooking mama. My point the entire time, is that you should try SSX and to a slightly lesser extent Godfather before saying that the wiimote doesn't work with all games and that's it's a problem across the board.

Finn: Yeah, understood. It's not that we don't think it can work, or that it doesn't already work in some instances, it's just that it doesn't work in many games and saying as much is grounds for a public hanging nowadays! :)

I still have to get Godfather for Wii, I keep hearing about it.

lol I'm not one of those guys either (or at least I try not to be) I think people are all entitled to their own opinion and to be honest, I havn't played all the wii games and the bad ones do seem to outway the good so far. Just thought that I'd point out those 2 that for me anyway proved that it's a viable system for traditional games and could in fact improve them in some way. But I do also recognize that you can't play every game that comes out.

I am just very selective about what I buy and Luckily I've got those 2 and they both work very well for me.

I think you guys are right though, people do seem to get rather emotional about it. And if I come across that way I apologize.

lol yeah I liked it... not quite 1up yours just yet, but entertaining none the less. The guy from cheap ass gamer as a good radio voice too. 1up has been doing it a lot longer though too.

It's kinda funny when you post on these sort of things you never know if the people actually go threw and read the stuff you post, and after listening to you podcast it's painfully clear that you do. Which is something I like because as I said before, nobody has the time to play everything out there. And it's also nice to hear your opinions in more detail than what a few paragraphs can sometimes get across.

Plus I'm at work and don't have much else to do when I'm in the office.

I imagine that in a year the Wii-mote will work alot better than it does now.

Works fine in Twilight Princess. Works fine (for the most part) in Warioware.

But yeah, it's pretty hard to do it in Cooking Mama, Red Steel, well you get the idea.

Elebits' controls are pretty spot on though. That game is fun and unique.

I couldn't listen to the podcast though :( I'm at work.

But alas, the video card of my computer at home went out. So I had to send it in. This is my only internet outlet for about two weeks.

It might not be that people are getting upset with every instance of Wii-bashing on here. I like the website and I like the podcast, but it DOES get annoying when about ninety percent of all posts on Joystiq mentioning the Wii have some sort of bad thing to say about it.

I think most self-proclaimed hardcore gamers (like most game reviewers and journalists) are insulted by Nintendo's philosophy behind the Wii, because they figure "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." What they don't realize is that Nintendo is expanding the market and NOT replacing it, just like the PlayStations expanded the market but didn't replace Nintendo. Nintendo is bringing balance to the force. The industry couldn't be ruled by the evil empire of Maddens, Halos, and GTA clones forever. ¡Viva la Revolución!
