I remember Nintendo also saying Twilight Princess was supposed to come out in 2005. And Metroid was supposed to be a launch game. Basically Nintendo takes forever to get their games right, so don't think this time will be any different. Especially since one game has already been delayed at least 8 months.

As far as that zapper attachment goes: The Wii-mote shoots just fine without a gun handle.Announce 3rd party games that aren't last gen ports that make it worthwile for me to buy in a Wii instead of my 360.

Granted, I think it's reasonable to imagine one of the three games being delayed into 2008, but two is a stretch. Galaxy and Corruption have been delayed too many times already. If I had to guess, I'd say Corruption in Q3 2007, Galaxy in Q4 2007, and Brawl in Q1 2008.

But again, even if two of the three games were delayed into next year, it wouldn't justify your "one somewhat good game per year" comment.

Not even counting games that have already been released: Super Paper Mario, MySims, Mario & Sonic, Beautiful Katamari, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Dewy's Adventure, Pokemon Battle Revolution, No More Heroes, Battalion Wars 2, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Project HAMMER, and NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams are all due out this year for the Wii.

So, all of these games are going to suck, huh? Every time a new Wii game is announced, it makes whatever comes out of your mouth seem even more ignorant and stupid.

And even so, you just conceded your point. SPM + Battalion Wars 2 + one of the three blockbusters = three "somewhat good" games this year.

Again, way to pit three consoles against one. Did you really not understand what I meant? My point was that most people, even if they don't own a Wii, have enough sense to recognize more than two of the games I listed as at least "somewhat good".

No, Eternal Sonata will not have me drooling. Banjo Kazooie and Turok are both as dead as Sonic.

Halo 2 couldn't even outsell Half-Life 1 or GOLDENEYE 007 with its single-analog controller.

Anyway, this year is awesome so far, and all I really care about right now is Strikers. I'm still looking for GC copies of Beyond Good and Evil, Ikaruga, and Pikmin 2.

Hmm, I just wanted to throw in my thoughts on the actual topic... the Wii Blaster attachment could be cool especially, like some of you have mentioned before, if it allowed for duel wielding (which wouldn't be difficult I'd imagine). It's the little things like this that make my Wii worth owning. Kudos to Nintendo for making the expansion port on the remote for more than just the nunchuck; it opens up a lot more possibilities.
