EA struggles to meet demand for Wii games

EA continues to be punished for their assumption that the Wii would flop, according to Bloomberg News. EA's sales dropped a whopping 25% this February compared to last year, since they didn't have much to offer the 3.56 million Wii owners in the U.S. and Japan. Finally convinced that the Wii is a moneymaker, EA has recanted and is rushing to get titles out for it as fast as possible, like the recently-released Godfather: Blackhand Edition and Tiger Woods 07. Let's just hope they take enough time to really get a handle on those finicky Wii controls. EA seems to have gotten it right with Godfather, but the jury is out on Tiger Woods.

Speaking of nonsense, I don't think GTA style button controls will survive because of Godfather Wii.

I prefer Pangya to Tiger Woods, because you get to golf in bikinis, use baseball bats and MACES instead of clubs, you can do drugs to power-up for those hard shots, and I just prefer wacky fantasy courses than the real courses that are in every golf game. But more importantly, I prefer the actual swinging in the game.

I still haven't tried either SSX Blur or Godfather: Black Hand. I'll have to czech those out after hearing all the unexpected praise for both of them. It's so bizarre that EA is making good games. I still don't get it.

I love the way everyone has completely opposite views of which wii games use the remote well, or not. Some love SSX, some hate it. Some love madded, some hate it. Some love tiger woods, some hate it. No one has the same view on all the games.

EA's profits are dropping because they are thebiggest publisher.. and PS2 sales are tanking, while nex-gen sales aren't taking up the slack yet.

It has nothing to to do with the wii.
