Rumor: Phoenix Wright 3 dated, titled for US

Well, that was fast -- faster even than the English fan translation of the Phoenix Wright 4 Flash demo. Less than a month after Capcom posted the results of their "plead your case" contest whereby gamers, uh, pled their case for why Capcom should bother bringing Gyakuten Saiban 3 to the western world come rumors of just such a release.
One of those 120 entries must have made a difference (we think it was the above) because, according to thehighly reliable computer systems of GameCrazy, a DS game titled Phoenix Wright - Trials Tribu has a release date of 9/25/07 (that's September 25, for our international friends, not the 9th of ... whatever). Like Phoenix Wright 4, the currently GBA-only Gyakuten Saiban 3 has no English translation and was the only game with no localization plans announced.

OBJECTION! Phoenix Wright 3 never came out on the DS in Japan. The writer of this post is thinking Phoenix Wright 2, which is already out in America.
The unfortunate side of this release date (if it's true) is that it means we probably won't see Phoenix Wright 4 until September of 2008...
TAKE THAT!

Is there even a Gyakuten Saiban 3 on the DS yet? If not, then if this rumor proves true, they must be aiming for a simultaneous release here, in Japan and hopefully the rest of the world.

Sweet! But GS3 DID NOT HAVE AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION! AT ALL! Only the DS remakes of 1&2 did. If there already was one why would certain fan translations have to work from the ground up? You guys always get this wrong...

Agh, forgot the exclamation marks. Hmmm, but I sure am spamming these comments!
This, definitely, is my most anticipated game OF ALL right now. No contest.

Thanks, lwelyk. I've updated the post and carved the details onto my forearm so I'll never forget again!

You're welcome it always annoys me when sites get that wrong.

Phoenix Wright - Trials Tribu? Hmmmmm.
First off that seems like one bastardized spelling of "Trials & Tribulations." Second, isn't Capcom focusing more on the "Ace Attorney" aspect rather than Phoenix Wright? I'm sure this is just to make things easier for the store so I don't think it's BS.

D (#8), if you look at the rest of the screenshot, you can see the store also has Justice for All listed without any "Ace Attorney" in its title, so I, too, contend this is 100% true. This is so exciting!

TAKE THAT!
This is seriously some of the best news I have heared in a long, long time - Heres hoping we get an official announcement soon!!!

Great games, but I'm trying to get rid of them as there is almost no replay value. Some of the clues and objections are often of the "WTH" variety and at other times the game is a bit too lenient. They are compelling and are at least worth a rental though.

LOL @ Denny Crane
YEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Bring it on Capcom!

Sadly, I still have yet to own eiter current Ace Attorney game. (Yes, I am the fan translation guy. I know, I'm pathetic.)
My Ace Attorney experience is limited to the first three three cases of the first one I played last summer at a friend's, and that fan translation of the first case in the third game.
Gnizmo @ Apr 9th 2007 6:36PM
@Wes: Considering the fact that the rumored game is for the DS and not the GBA, it would almost certaily be a release of the fourth game in the series (third for the DS) and not the GBA only title.
Asok @ Apr 9th 2007 6:43PM
Oh man. If this is true, words cannot express how quickly I will be running towards the nearest game store to get this. It will rival blast processing, I tell you!
Coppo @ Apr 9th 2007 8:30PM
Please look here for more information about the appearance of Trials&Tribulations in the store Database. It is a thread from the guy who found out the information of the third game for the Nintendo DS.

The "contradictions" in the pictures are fully explained within the thread, so don't reply saying things like "This is bullhonkey! It says Gameboy DS!" if you haven't read the entire thread.
