Now that we've had some time to download and play this week's offerings on the Virtual Console, we're prepared to detail to you fine readers out there just what's in store for you and, more importantly, if you should shell out the money for these games. Go on past the break for some short descriptions and our verdict on each game.

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!
This game was a tough call for us. We generally enjoy platformers, however Alex Kidd in Miracle World is superior to this title in a lot of ways. Still, we found the game held up fine over the years and is worth your eight Simolians, even if it is only chock full of eleven stages. We'll be crossing our fingers for Alex Kidd in Miracle World, though.

BRAVOMAN (Turbografx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!
We've said it countless times before and we'll say it again: we love the Turbografx16 offerings on the Virtual Console. This latest title, which is a side-scrolling beat-em-up game, offers plenty of stages and button-mashing gameplay. If you're one who enjoys games like Streets of Rage and Final Fight, this will be right up your alley.

Galaga (NES, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download
This is where things get tough. With a title such as this, available on both the Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade, we inevitably found ourselves comparing the two. For the same price, with the Xbox Live Arcade version, you can get online leaderboards and some other extras. As such, we can't really suggest paying 5 dollars for the Wii version, which is really inferior.
As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii.
