Quake III Team Arena on XBLA?

The ESRB is becoming a better resource for leaking Xbox Live Arcade titles than we could have dreamed. This time, it's an entry for Quake III: Team Arena. Granted, the Xbox 360 is not short on shooters, but Quake III is one of the best. Quake III provided some great multiplayer thrills back in tha' day, and it would be a perfect addition to Xbox Live Arcade, especially at a budget price. Quake III is graphically more sophisticated than most XBLA titles, so it's a safe bet that the game will utilize the new 150MB size limit.

Would you buy Quake III for Xbox Live Arcade, or do you have enough shooters already? Frankly, we miss good old fashioned rocket jumping, so we're willing to give it a try.

Yes i would buy it for 800 points but not more!

those where the days playing quake 3 with a riva tnt2 card with 32mb ram on it, plenty of lag,

that's cool and all, but, more importantly, it looks like Yie Ar Kung Fu is coming to xbla. aww yeah.

This is awesome. When are they going to dip into the Dreamcast's library for some XBLA love?

This has to be some sort of new release MS wants to put out there this summer... like the "platinum" series, but with other games... perhaps like a "HISTORIC" series. I say this because I can't imagine downloading this from the Arcade. It's simply too big. Even with the 150MB limit! Quake III was somewhere in the neighborhood of ~500MB. To make it only 150, they would only include like 2 maps, and a third of the playable characters.

Then if they went on and charged for the additional downloads (characters & maps).

I'm kind of leery about what this might be. I just can't believe it's going to be an arcade title!
