Readers pick best webcomic: the real winner
Proving that the quality of clever observation can trump the importance of finished, colorful artwork, Scott Johnson's Extra Life took first place in this week's webcomic wrapup for understanding the real winner of the so-called "console wars." Second place goes to Ctrl+Alt+Del and third place goes to 2P Start. (Yes, Ray and Tim, we also wouldn't be surprised.) Thanks to everyone who voted and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomic you stumble upon this week!

I am hoping to see Slime Culture's comics up there for the next Round Up. Come on Joystiq!

I can't believe CAD made it into the running with that comic, let alone came in SECOND place? I do think Extra Life had the best comic this week, but surely 2P Start was better than a lame paper mario joke. CAD used to be good, but Tim ran out of gas over a year ago, and there are much better comics now.

have you seen the pose cliffy pulls on his official website? He's like the Paris hilton of the videogame world and I love him for it. Cheers Ross happy Easter!

Tyler, it's all personal taste. I happened to think Extra Life was HORRIBLE. I could not believe it when I saw it taking the lead in the race. Even if it was colored, it just wasn't funny. Oh, every company is talking about their sales yet IBM is the one with all the money. Is that really the punchline? Didn't Joystiq already cover this?http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/13/and-the-next-gen-winner-is/
Oh yea, that's a real nice observation.
Actually, I didn't think that any of the comics this week were that great, but my favorite was CAD. I'm not a big fan of artwork in my voting either, but I thought he really captured the look of Paper Mario. He also analyzed the reality of having such powers like water, if it's made out of paper. "I try-a to put it out but all the water is made of paper." Also maybe I'm looking too far into it, but this latest Paper Mario is about combining 3D with 2D, while the comic is about combining reality with a drawing. It was much more of a "clever observation" of Paper Mario being set on fire then IBM making money.

Slackerz has a comic about Brain Age.

It may not be what you're looking for since Brain Age is older than anything ever, but if you like it, we would appreciate the poll participation.
Thanks.

Back again...sorry about the broken link in my last post, the comic has been updated and expanded. Behold the Untold Enemies of Mario!

Ok screw the earlier suggestion. We just had to comment on the Guitar Hero DLC which is a freaking outrage.
