Thanks. I was wondering WTF that DS placement in the game was all about.

I thought that it was connectivity when I first saw it too, but I decide to wait and see if there was anything on the web about it since Nintendo likes to throw in their handhelds in their own games.

"Supposedly" there is DS functionality since the game updates your wii's firmware before allowing you to play

I didn't see a firmware update happen when I started up the game; is this behind-the-scenes?

Yes there is a firmware update. This firmware update can also brick PAL consoles (if you don't have the latest wii firmware installed from the internet).

This is of course for those who have a modchip and a pal console and have never done a system update.

but yes, the firmware update is there.

Yeah, I saw that in-game, but found out an episode later that it was nothing more than a recipe holder. Oh well.

Yeah, the Wii is not a PS3 and the DS is not a PSP "No connectivity for you!"

Ok whoever here actually thinks that this is some sort of "future ds connectivity" thing, or some "firmware update" thing .....well I dont want to let you down the hardway by just nicely telling you "ur dum" but instead im gonna YELL it"YOU R SO DUM" I mean yes it does say waiting for data upgrade but if you actually take the time and say to yourself "hmm this has to be something WITHIN the game this is for or else this would be very retarded" and by sayin that to yourself you would(should) point the wii remote at the screen , move it so it is over the ds on the wall, press the A button and then geuss what...IT tells YoU what it is for which absolutely has nuthing to do with ds connectivity or wut ever firmware is, but that it has to do with RECIPE disk things.

"phew" glad i let that anger out on these WIld gaming nerds and there imaginatION. I mean firmware... now thats just crazy talk.
