It's fun to Wii at the YMCA
Still trying to find a Wii? Get in touch with your local YMCA. Nintendo recently donated Wii party packs to YMCA chapters around the country for the upcoming Healthy Kids Day. The event celebrates "making fitness fun" and could finally live up to that promise with remote-waggling wackiness. This isn't the first time Wii games have been used to promote exercise. One blogger lost nine pounds in a month on a Wii Sports routine and subsequently appeared on NBC news.
Now Wii Sports weight loss needs a mascot. Somebody give John Madden a call. Slim-Fast is so 1985.

Great Nintendo. Now, how about something other than minigames or mario? You know, something new that will last more than 5 mintues and doesnt have a fat plumber.

Your asking for too much. Nintendo doesn't have that type of creativity.

Well I got a PS3 & 360.
They are super duper.
Only with the PS3 im insecure. I have motorstorm and resistance only for it and I have to wait a long time for any new games. So Yes, I am insecure. But you Wii guys have to worry about the same thing.

So, not only is Wii the best gaming system out there but it's good for your health too? This console is truly amazing!

"Excite truck over motorstorm"
WHY?
Seedy @ Apr 11th 2007 12:16PM
I suppose that means Excite Truck's better.

Nintendo has secretly built tanks and doom ships and subs and are scrambling a squadron of strong soldiers to take over the world. Hail Satoru!
They should make a waterproof wiimote so we can play in the pool. My family would always go out to the outdoor YMCA pool in summer.

You've gotta hand it to Nintendo. They are marketing the Wii in a VERY effective manner. Giving the Wii a "healthy, good for your kids" image will sell many Wii's. I get parents that come in all the time saying they'd buy their kid a Wii just for the sole purpose that he/she would have to get up off the couch to play games for a change. Parents don't want their kids getting fat. Just ask Subway.

I like to Wii in the pool at the YMCA.

I don't think it's that fun to stay at the YMCA.

LOL!!!!!
nintendos marketing team is friggin amazing, if a year ago you said nintendo is going to target health conscious parents with there videogame system i would have thought it was a joke
next system they should try and use the anti-drug approach by adding a smoke detector, or a vegetable ingestion meter
i was about to say studying machine, but then i remembered BRAIN AGE
hahahahahahahahaha
the first system that managed to appeal to stuck up parents, which we now know was a huge market

Highly coveted console + Poor inner-city kids = trouble.
