Check out the full on transforming antics of the different Nintendo systems through the ages. We'd love to see Optimus Prime try this out. Where is version 2.0 with all the different handhelds? We mean you too, Virtual Boy.

A video of Optimus through his ugly iterations would be horrible yet slightly interesting. Generation 1 and Optimal Optimus were the best and the rest became too Japanese.

it's so hard to not feed the trolls...anyway, I think the video is pretty neat, though it makes me want to see transformations from the original systems all the way to current consoles and even portables...it would also be neat try different tunes applied to the video... well done.

Blargh... interesting idea, executed poorly. Disappearing polygons just to switch to the next console? That's not transforming, that's magic.

I think I remember reading that the person who made this video did it for a project in school or something.

@3
you're right
the virtual boy was in the "sit at your desk or bed and go blind" category of game machines, and it's the only machine in that category
but the closest other category is the handheld because it was small and portable

I'd call the Virtual Boy a portable because it doesn't require a TV, but I wouldn't call it a handheld because you need to plug it into the wall and because the controller was external to the actual system. And it wouldn't fit well in either animation. It can't go between the SNES and the N64 and it can't go between the Game Boy and the Game Boy Pocket. That's insane!
If anything somebody should make a whole video with a million Virtual Boys turning into robots and destroying the universe.

i realize by saying "it's small and portable" makes it a handheld rather than a console, yet i only now realize the wii and gamecube are both small and can be considered portable, i mean hell the gamecube has a friggin handle, anyhoo back to my point, not requiring a tv is what makes more of a handheld

Cool video, and The Virtual Boy also shipped with a battery pack that you could stuff 6 AA batteries into and attach to the back of the controller in place of the power supply. I used to bring it with me on long trips.

I've been looking for a Wii for months and got sick of waiting, so I just bought 2 GameCubes and some duct tape. Saved some money too. So I duct taped them together, but now I can't get my remote to sync. Do you think Nintendo troubleshoots this kind of problem?

Rubang B:
Are you using a universal remote or a Wiimote? That might be the problem. Also, remember that the size of the Wii has a lot to do with how it works. Ensure that you've properly compacted the Gamecubes together tightly enough to match the size of a Wii. This may require some stomping.
As for that video, I actually believe that would make a fairly decent commercial. It would greatly appeal to long time gamers and intrigue newcomers.

Reminds me of the european Xbox 360 ad, where all the games fold into a 360.

Nohithair,
Your method is somewhat different to mine in regards to the arrangement of Gamecubes. I took the route of gutting one GC then inserting the components into the other GC. With obligatory duct tape, of course. Tell me, Did you apply tape pre or post stomping?
Eagerly awaiting your reply
Sincerely,
Kye.
p.s. Rubang, a laser pointer duct taped to a universal remote wil suffice for syncing.

Ok its obvious that you are required to post one annoyingly titled video post a day.
I think you titled it wrong though...not quite
annoying enough, let me help.
"Today's most changing'est video: Wii Transform"
what a stupid post...

The handheld idea would especially be cool if they included the game & watch ;)

Aw, the SNES to N64 was a lame transformation. I declare that cheating.
