But I've seen it so many times, and bought it in so many flavors(VHS, LASERDISC, DVD).

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is there a difference in quality with movies which were not shot in High Def between their Blu-ray format and a standard dvd up-converted? It just seems to be like any of those pre-2000 movies would look the same on Up-converted DVD and Blu-ray.
