I'd like to know if the movie has anything to do with planes flying into skyscrapers....

I don't remember the game having anything to do with planes and tall buildings...

Maybe the question should be, why create and release a 'teaser' of this nature if not to try to create hype for a movie that many could care less about?

In Postal 2 one of the terrorists say "I'll fly a plane into your mother!" That's about it.

Whelp, i find my self torn.
I despise Uwe Boll, his films, and everything hes ever done. (Except for beating those critics senseless. Mad lulz)
But, I feel its about time we Americans let 9/11 become history and let jokes be told. Political correctness is ruining free speech. Only 3000 some people died. You know what that does to Americas yearly death toll? Nothing. 2,973 is a tragedy. 2,416,425 is a statistic.
Also, to be cleaning windows on that day would suck. I thought the clip was funny.

You wouldn't happen to be an afficionado of Josef Stalin, would you?

But in a way, i agree that America should stop being so sensitive about it, but you've got to remember, while that 2,937 is just a statistic, that means its also two thousand nine hundred and thirty seven individual tragedies

It'll take time to recover from that...

I hope Anonymous and Boll both die slowly in a tragic plane fuselage fire. And then 5 years later, have some dumb fuck borderline retarded movie director make a film laughing at them.

Side note, I just got home from work and learned of this Virginia shooting....how long before Jack Thompson and the media try to pin it on video games?

Guess what happened on September 11th, 2001?

Over 30,000 people died of STARVATION. Let's get our priorities straight folks.

I've always hated Uwe Boll, but the way he's handling this madness is hilarious. I'll have to see it. And it's Postal, it's not like there's a plot to mess with, so he's practically making a Troma movie.

listen, it's not that people died, it was a national tragedy.
AIDs is funny, kills people all the time.
Now 9/11, still too soon.

I have no problem with people telling jokes about 9/11. But have you seen the trailer for Postal? That didn't really register as a joke to me- just footage of some guy washing a window before a plane crashes into him. It didn't even seem like a bad joke, just something meant to pointlessly shock. That I have a problem with- pointlessly abusing people's fears.

Also, why the hell are we even talking so much about Uwe Boll? Let's just all take a vote and declare him to be (one of) the worst directors of all time and then completely forget about him.

Maybe if everybody in the U.S. didn't watch Fox News all day and have nightmares about terrorists all night, these kinds of jokes would be ok. There's a difference between bad taste and PURE EVIL, which is what a lot of people make this out to be. It's called a bad movie, not an attack on family values or whatever.

I'm all for jokes about tragedies provided they are actually funny. Boll's clip, which is basically a front row seat to 9/11, is not funny. That is pretty much the people who where in the WTC saw before the planes hit. Would you be laughing if you saw a plane coming right at you?

I'm not quite sure how far you had to dig up your ass to pull out that shit worthless statement, and I don't really want to know. I can tell you that you are pretty messed up.

1. Nobody in the states gives a shit about terrorists except those that are paid to care.
2. Did anyone's posts here give the impression to you that this was PURE EVIL instead of bad taste, if so, you need to go back to school for some reading comprehension.
3. Where the hell did you get anything about an "attack on family values"??? WTF are YOU talking about. There is a whole other topic on your mind son, and it isn't about a tasteless movie clip.
4. You're defending Uwe Boll, you DUMB F***.

Flame war, why doesn't that surprise me?
Yeah, 9/11 was tragic, lots of people died, it was really sad and just as #9 said, maybe it's still too soon to make jokes about it.
And yeah, Uwe Boll is a prick and he sucks.
But hey, there is something called personal taste on jokes, specially the dark humor ones, so let's not make drama out of a stupid joke.

It's pretty obvious that a lot of people here are too young to *remember* 9/11. Which is pretty pathetic.

There really needs to be a minimum age requirement for using the internet.

We should really recognize what we are doing here.
This is EXACTLY what Uwe wanted, to create controversy and have people talk about it, and his movie.

It's kinda like obnoxious co-workers, Ignore them long enough and eventually they will figure out they're not funny.

And i agree on a minimum age, these boards are littered with 12 year old know it alls on the weekends, not to mention i wish i had the phone number of every foul mouthed little turd on Xbox live so i could call their mother and let them hear what they were saying. But then again, these(probably 8-13 years old) kids are playing gears of war, so it's safe to assume the parents just don't do squat or are drunks.

@NegativeCool,

1. "Nobody in the states gives a shit about terrorists except those that are paid to care." You're so wrong here I don't even know what to say.

2. I didn't say that you folks were calling it pure evil, but a lot of people totally freak out at jokes like this, as if it were pure evil.

3. The conservatives in America who like to use 9/11 to their political advantage call EVERYTHING an attack on family values, no matter what it is. I didn't feel the phrase was too out of place in my post, but maybe it didn't work.

4. I know, and I'm sorry. I think he has every right to make an ass of himself, and I like some intentionally bad movies like Snakes on a Plane, Grindhouse, and some Troma stuff. We all agree that Uwe Boll makes bad movies. Now he knows it and is making one bad on purpose. It doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. And it has a butt-naked David Foley in it. That bought my ticket for me.

@Diskoboy, good one.

You people are too loud to live, everyone can see you ya know, no need to speak in that irritatin' "Look at me I come from.......arggggggh... SPLAT! Cause then you fall to your death out of a building and paint the sidewalk with your apathetic self. Sigh... If only they'd killed more.

I saw the clip. I don't recall there being any indication that this "scene" is specifically taking place on 9/11 or whatever. I think people are merely jumping to conclusions, and in turn, feeding the hype that Boll is looking for from the start.

Good going media.

Who gives this man the means to make such poor attempts at humor? There really is nothing funny about that clip. Period. No need for the "is it still to early for 9/11 humor" debate. A guy washing windows when the plane hit. There were a ton of people just doing their job when the plane hit. Is there something about the window washing profession that makes this a joke?

@todd:

He must be referencing one of those other times plane flew into skyscrapers....
