In an interview with IGN, SNK Playmore USA President Ben Herman revealed that Neo Geo games would be available for the Wii Virtual Console in all regions sometime this summer. The games, some of which originally retailed for over $200, will be priced for download "just a little above the Super NES point" of $8 per game, Herman said. What a difference 17 years makes ...Herman didn't reveal exactly which games would be initially available, but hinted that they were "looking for games that haven't been available" through anthologies or remakes. Herman also hinted at plans to make classic SNK content available for Xbox Live and Sony's upcoming PlayStation Home service. Add in the Neo Geo games currently available on GameTap and these once hard-to-find games will soon be available around every corner.
[Update: Fixed error regarding Metal Slug and King of Fighters being some of the first considered games. Thanks Cain Highwind.]

"so we're looking for games that haven't been available to be more attractive to users when we first launch. If we had a chance to bring out two games for our first month I wouldn't want it to be King of Fighters '94 and Metal Slug 1. That wouldn't be the plan. We have 120 different Neo Geo titles… there's plenty to select from."
He specifically says they're going for the more obscure titles!

Hopefully these titles will make it to more than the Wii.
Give us Live and PSN players some good stuff too!

We have to admit that most of the early NeoGeo games are simply crap.

Hope some come to the 360 too.
@ysdark..ditto on that Baseball 2020 (one of the best games around)
Give me Wind Jammers, Sengoku, and Mark of the Garou. And I just MIGHT overlook all of the SNK series that playmore ran STRAIGHT into the gound.

I hope for that game too. I had the SNES port of Samurai Showdown, but I could tell it wasn't as good.
