erm ignore my post above, it was some text stored in a buffer from a post long ago.

My real post says that his collection seems werid. Mos games are not replayed and bad games are very boring t play through (which Im sure he has many of). I personally like to collect movies. I usualy end up buying around 15-20 games in a console lifespan

I am like velo myself. The difference between me and him is that I buy my games when they go on clearance or lower prices. Then I cycle my games through trade ins, EBay, etc....and Gamefly too....just discovered EStarland too.....

I just sent them 30 brand new condition, classic Dreamcast games, my N64 and a bunch of controllers and acessories and got over $400 in credit for them.....may buy another 360 for my downstairs HDTV...

My setup definitely beats this. I may not have over 100 games for my 360, but I have every one worth buying. (Plus, I have TWO guitars for GHII, as well as all song packs).

But the real reason I feel my setup is better is for these 3 main reasons:

1) 1080p Sharp Aquos 37" HDTV

2) My main PC runs windows media center, and coupled with Transcode360, I can watch any movie or tv show out of my 500+ GB collection.

3) My sound setup. I have a Marantz SR8400 receiver pumping out sound to a complete Klipsch RB-81 5.1 setup. Beat that. The sound system alone cost over $5,000.

You guys are actually comparing / competing for who has the most expensive/better equipment to play? Are you really that NERD and stupid?

This guy obviously doesn't play all the games, he just has no gf/family to spend his money on, or maybe he does and he definetly has not even friends (that would explain the shiny condition on all his controllers).

Get a life, I don't give a damn if you have a 5 grand amplifier, you are being so childish and possessive by comparing your system and saying it's better, you even seem jealous his system is in an article and yours is not, nerd.

"we can't help but wonder if there are even 116 Xbox 360 games that are worth purchasing"

What kind of fanboys are you!? Of course there is. Every game is awesome...just because they're on the XBox 360.

Immediately retract your statement. Or else.

I have 14 360 games, everything from king kong (crap), to Test drive unlimited (not too bad),m to rainbow six vagas (great!), oh and GoW, which to be honest, I havent had much chance to play, so I'm not in love as many others are! lol

A 26" Samsung HDTV (in for repairs at moment though!)

Not amazing, but you know, dont honestly wanna spend 5k on a sound system, or something daft like that! I play GAMES, im not a critic, or somebody who wants perfect quality! ;)

If you want a place to check out some high end 360 setups, head on over to the AVSforum thread with people posting pics of their HD-DVD setups (many which use the 360's HD-DVD player):

Mine shows up on page 15 :)

Guys, I hardly ever post on these things. I occasionally read the comments, but purely with a sense of incredulity.

PS3 vs XBOX 360? Who cares?

I'm 33, I love my 360, I play when I can, I buy games when something looks decent. Mine never died. Mine never scratched any disks. All mine ever did was provide me with hours of great entertainment. Crackdown for example, is quite simply, great fun.

Plus, its a media centre. Sweet. Transcode 360 rock on.

I'm not surprised someone bought this many games. I would if I had the time to play em.

This thing is great.

Hey guys and gals I am here. I am the one featured in this pic of my game collection. I will tell you guys a little about myself. I am a 31 year old hardcore xbox collector. I have a very understanding wife, and a 7 year old step daughter. I have a big passion for gaming. My actual gamertag is velodyne. If anyone has any questions for me please feel free to ask.

First of all velodyne posted this all over the internet exactly for this reason. There are actually many collectors that have larger collections than he does over at digitpress. In regards to larger overall collections spinoff has a larger collection than he does he just doesnt post it everywhere (just a couple places) and I myself own every xbox 360 retail game and all 57 arcade games.

There are some incorrect numbers presented here though - he actually doesnt own 116 retail games he owns 112. he is counting the three burgerking games as retail games which in reality they are separate or to be considered as arcade games since they are only 3 dollars and each give the standard 200 arcade achievement points. He is also counting th exbox live arcade compilation disc as a retail game even though its exactly the same as the games you get on the marketplace (he's essentially counting arcade games twice to artifically boost the numbers.

I actually own around 6,000 total games and I buy all my games new (with the exception of four of them i had to get used) strictly speaking MS games though I own ALL 112 US retail xbox 360 games and all 57 arcade games (which includes the 3 bk games as I stated) I also own 450 original xbox games.

I'm actually a bit surprised this collection was posted instead of someone like spinoff's or a digitpress users collection since they also have big collections (bigger than velodynes and have clear pictures posted)

@1: I think I can beat you on that :P Two years ago I went into Game with my father and started pulling Xbox games of the shelf like there was no tomorrow. One of the employees came over and asked if we needed any help to which my father replies "Yes, I would like 10 Xbox's please." Was so funny to see his jaw drop.

In total we picked around 80 games along with the consoles, so took them almost 20 minutes to cash it all up. It came to a total of more than £3000. Sadly none of it was for me, but instead a charity that my father worked for. Still best bit was getting three grands worth of reward points :)

I cannot touch that game collection, I tend to mostly rent or trade in my old games. My system is nice though:

well maybe he's rich. 116 xbox 360 titles will run you about $6500, which if you make over $100k a year isn't THAT much (ok, it's excessive still)
