If you want the best next gen experience with a large catalog of many games that span multiple genres, and the best online and media integration experience, as well as the best HD gaming, and you like trying to figure out how Microsoft Points convert to dollars, and you like getting ripped off on some of the upgrades namely the 20 and 120 GB HDD varieties get an Xbox 360.

If you're somebody who pisses themselves at the thought of a company you don't hold stock in selling a console with 5-year old tech like hot cakes, and you like mini games with little to no depth, and a console definined by its controller, and you feel like PS2 and Gamecube ports are A-O-K, and you enjoy inputting friend codes and basically living in the stone age by all means get a Wii.

If you're someone who honestly believes the Playstation has the most powerful CPU/GPU combo for this generation although its been shown that it isn't and you believe Sony is going to dominate for a 3rd consecutive generation, and you like Blu-Ray Movies which are an unproven format that could possibly fail, and tilting your controller to shoot Free throws in your favorite NBA titles, and you love expensive hardware that include B/G wireless which is really only adequate for streaming things such as music and not games, and you are happy with Microsoft stealing exclusives than get a PS3.

If not pick up a PS2 or a DS Lite and call it a day.

PS: Get an Xbox 360.

Just to set the record straight...DVD's are have plenty of space for games...only if there is lots of hd fmv will it be filled up.

And IF a game is on multiple discs SO WHAT?? You will need to change discs only ONCE during the life of the game! Developers don't make you change disc every level or every few levels...its done half way thru the game

And it actually won't be a change of games, since most people play more than one game anyway. You DO play different games and replace discs don't you?

Everyone, everyone. I want you to think back to long ago. It was 2005 (five years after the release of the PS2.) Sony had their remake of the PSone out (you know, the small white one) and it was beating everyone in the business (including the PS2.) My point is... initial sales mean nothing. How many of you are still playing your PSones? In a few years, the PS2 will fall out, just as the PSone did.

SALES by JUNE of '05
PS2 - 91 million
Xbox - 21.9 million
GameCube - 18.76 million
Game Boy Advance - 67.77 million
Nintendo DS - 6.65 million
PSP - 5.06 million
PSone - 102.49 million

Another thing. You can't judge a console at launch. All of the Nintendo ecstatic were happy that their GameCube was beating the Xbox and was in second place. What happened later? The GameCube got wound-fucked, that's what.
