There is only two more months left in the second quarter. I don't think that is a bad list of title for a two month time frame. What's the XBOX360 have coming out before Halo 3 that makes it so great? Maybe I'm missing something, but none of the systems have heavy hitters coming out in May or June. May is when they announce all the big titles at E3.

Okay, damn, lotta posts when I left last night.

@Vidikron,

What are we debating, exactly? As far as I can tell, we agree on this matter.

@Jake,

Dude, you're jumping my shit for agreeing with you? Look at the several places where I stated there is no excuse for the drops we've been getting. PS3 is barren right now and you HAVE to love you some niche games to be enjoying it right now. I mean, hell, want an example? My decision to buy Homecourt for PS3 instead of 360 was based entirely on the fact that I have four controllers for PS3 and only three for 360. The main reason why I bought four controllers for PS3 is simply because of Resistance and the PSX and PS2 BC also has multitap functionality (although depending upon the software, you may need to fidget with assigned slots). That's it. The sole reason for that purpose. I bought AC4 for PS3 because all my AC playing friends are on PS3. And in case you missed it, I bashed both sides that keep bringing up the whole "what about Xbox 360 at it's point in life?"

Also, you DID make a mistake, though. Neither the PSOne or the PS2 were immediately superior to the hardware released before hand. PSX, when placed next to Saturn, had a slight edge when it came to 3D but it's 2D was horrible compared to the Saturn. Even if you take it on a title per title basis, PSX's only advantage at launch was Tekken. Everything else had it's superior on Saturn. Likewise, PS2 hit the ground limping. It took nearly a year and MGS2 before people finally started saying, "yep, NOW it's the Playstation 2." In fact, the only system Sony hit the ground running with is PSP and I keep seeing all over this site about how that system is a failure (although I have a blast with mine)

@Digi Smalls.

Yes, I said and still say to this day that Rumble, for me, is just fucking annoying. Got a Wii? Go into Opera and move about the keyboard input. Yeah, that's not irritating at all. Play Lost Planet with the rumble on, the fucking thing never stops. It's an overused gimmick that I normally turn off immediately. I was annoyed by it by the time I fought the giant clam in my submarine. So if you're looking for a rumble fan, I'm just not it. And yes, the tilt in PS3s control is a gimmick too. While it's kinda cool to flick a control up or down to shift gears, it's still a gimmick.

However, I don't know where the fuck you saw me saying nobody will buy a multidisc game. That one just strikes me as odd.

Also, I agree with you. Lots of people love to say Bungie isn't Microsoft. Microsoft bought Bungie. Want to know something suprising? Insomniac and Polyphony are both independant of Sony. Ted Price stays just because he likes how open Sony is with them. Polyphony stays because of the massive amount of money Sony throws at the GT game... and the fact that GT, as a series, is IP of Sony. Both of those studios are free to go at a moments notice.

And finally....

"It's primarily a multiplayer game though, isn't it? A few years ago (I doubt I could now, very out of practice) I generally could beat most fighting games I bought in one or two sittings... but that doesn't mean the game was worthless, since I primarily bought fighting games to play with my friends and roommates. I think warioware is the same thing, the single player game is just there to show you how to play."

Dude, if you can play Warioware Smooth Moves on multiplayer, you're a fucking god. In the main mode, they make you share a single remote between twelve players. But they give you an excessively limited amount of time to not only switch players but also to get the Wiimote into proper game position. Come to think of it, aside from a couple games, when has Warioware ever been a multiplayer experience? It's always been quick and quirky games of an addicting nature.

Although I do agree with you. game length =/= quality. Warioware is a fun diversion and even if you busted out the single player, you've likely only seen 20% of the game. If you want a game that's some quick fun, Warioware is it.

"wow, shep, or fake shep, thats credibility losing statement right there. 3 discs = poor sales. wow, truly grasping at straws."

Fake shep is right. Usually, if you see me on the third page or beyond, it's fake to begin with. Especially when it's accompanied by terms I never use like FUD or accusing people of being viral agents. I know the internet well enough to know most companies don't need viral agents. Hell, just visit Gamefaqs for a while.

Honestly, don't know why Blue Dragon didn't sell well. Sakaguchi + Toriyama is usually = Victory.

i wasn't sure it was fake shep precisely because that post didn't have any of that stuff you mentioned. i remember fake shep being much much worse. i need a fake digi.

veering even more off topic:

i never thought i could disagree with you MORE on rumble until now. citing that Wii example as "bad", you've never been more wrong.

adding feedback to motion control was the "missing link" from all the various motion input devices of the past. involving the body (motion) WITHOUT feedback is completely unnatural. the physiological disconnect of having to move parts of your body as "action" but without any kind of resistance or return is what kept all those devices firmly in the unsuccessful gimmick graveyard.

just like all your sixaxis will be, when rumble is inevitably added.

rumble alone is worth much more as a single feature than just motion control is because your input device is still telling you something, even if its subconciously ("i'm getting hit"). the single-way input device should be left on your computer desk.

motion control + rumble is precisely the next evolutionary move, people just "get it", proof being the immense popularity across all ages for the Wii. rumble played no small part in this year's big console success story. most people wanted a Wii the moment they hit that tennis ball and FELT it.

sixaxis will only make sense when rumble is added, and microsoft would do well to add motion control as well.
