March NPD sales data shows Nintendo pwning competition (again)

FTW!!!(For the Wii!!!)

That picture really never gets old.

Still being out-classed by a last generation console, though. Not too impressive, but hell, even the 360 and PS3 were atop of it either. Would like to see EU sales figures, as I still can't find a Wii in stores. =(

Only because of lack of supply (for the Wii.. Which is still selling out) and the fact that GOW II came out for the PS2 last month .. That combined with the fact that old PS2 hardware SUCKED and a lot of people (my self included..) had to purchase a new PS2 in order to play GOW II. I'm on my 4th PS2 now because all my previous ones broke. My brother is on his 3rd and my roommate is on his 3rd or 4th now too. The sucky thing for me is that I keep feeling compelled to buy them after they break just to play a handful of games I really want but I own less than 15 games for the thing. I already have that many on my Wii and 3x that amount for my DS.

Anyway hopefully this newer PS2 hardware (the smaller one) will last longer than the older ones and now I can go buy Okami and a few other games I missed.

Any way I might be a Nintendo fanboy but I don't have a problem playing great games on other systems.

Anybody else find it funny how a lot of Sony fanboys whine about last gen graphics on the Wii and how it's impossible to have fun on the system because of the out dated graphics and then turn around and talk about how great GOW is and buy it up by the truck loads even though it's graphics are that of the weakest last gen console?

I find it funny.

BTW the Wii and 360 surely got beat by the PS2 but hey it's better than how the PS3 got beat by the GBA.. Don't ya think? ;) Shoot it's not too far off from being in the GC territory.

The DS is doing great!

As for the Wii... where is it in the software charts? Aside from the Wiimote with a $10 crappy game included, there's nothing there on the charts.

I think this factors in with the 'crappy ports' post earlier today. I'm sure next month SPM will be in the charts, but the Wii needs more great titles designed for the Wii!

wii gpu confirmed as all new and any sane person knows a 256mb texture usage at 1080p is around 64mb at 480p

so wii is perfect for next gen graphics - HD

so how is it last gen and have you seen the lastest mario galaxy films that game is MORE NEXT GEN than any bash a dualshock racer etc

Your fourth PS2!? I still have the PS2 I bought the first time.

I was once a Sony fanboy but I did get a Wii instead this time around. Seeing those figures, I am floored by the fact that not only did Nintendo Wii beat PS3 sales but even the freaking Game Boy Advance beat PS3 sales. I never thought I would see that happen. Never!
