God of War PSP title nearly revealed

We care about you here at Joystiq, and in a lot of subtle ways that you probably don't always appreciate. Like see that screenshot up above? That says "God of Wa: Chains of Olymp" which we assume is most of the title of the God of War PSP game. It's set to complete its display in a couple of days when we hope it will say God of War: Chains of Olympics 2008: Kratos & Mario & Sonic. But it will probably say God of War: Chains of Olympus, because that's just the way life works.

You know what else? We're not going to tell you how we found it. We'll just say it's the latest addition to IslandOfRhodes.org, which has become a veritable cornucopia of GoW secrets, and leave it at that. If you're interested in tracking this title down, we're sure that you can find that sort of info, but you're not getting it from us. Trust us, it's an hour of random clicking that you're just not going to get back, and by keeping it from you, we have given you the gift of an hour of your life. Now go, and please ... pay it forward.

YES! my post made it in, now im happy :) did anybody ever notice that if ou just favorite or bookmark the countdown page it'll just take you there right away when you click it? now u gotta do something good for six people :P

I dont think it'll actually take you to the countdown page if i give it to you, i think it just goes by ur IP and remembers if you got that far, but good luck anyway: http://islandofrhodes.org/index.html

God of War is a stupid series that is meant for 12 year olds who need to feel Macho, good thing its on the PSP, it hits its target audience dead on.

Though I worry they will release a new "version" of this game once a year. This may be the new Madden, ladies and gentlemen. :(

Lets hope they breathe some life into this series before long.

i higly doubt a game will come out every year. it took 2 years for 2 to come out and if they start a PS3 one now it probably wont come out til 2009.

I hope they fix the story- the first game had a great one that made me press on through the game even when I started getting bored. The second game did not have anything of the sort. I also hope this isn't as simple as just "God of War on the PSP" because that doesn't interest me in the slightest.

As for this: lets just hope it doesn't follow the thread of "Take 1 full-sized game, dumb it down, make it for PSP"

PSP's had a lot of good titles in thier own right (the forthcoming Jeanne d'Arc looks awesome), but there's also that disturbing trend of PS2 dumb-downs
