Already have Pokemon, tonight I get Wonderboy, and that's all the money I spend until Spiderman 3 hits PS3.

I love how the "big three" doesn't include the DS, even though it is outselling every other console by a wide margin right now.

I was more excited to continue playing Lord of the Rings online, then they made me rename my main. Whats wrong with Scroto Saggins?

I'll still pick it up, it'll be fun for a couple weeks.

Since Jack Thompson is busy exploiting the VT massacre this week, he's leaving the Pokemon battle to his annoying little cousin Oliver. Oliver Thompson is running around the media claiming that Pokeman trains kids to become members of the underground cock fighting industry. He's especially disgusted by Nintendo squishing these otherwise happy animals into little balls because that just teachs kids that it's OK to store your prized fighting cock in a tiny wire cage. He's even found one "reformed" person who's admiting to naming his favorite fighting cock "Cockachu".

Oh stop shaking your head. You know playing Pokemon is just a gateway activity that ends with a pair of $3000 chickens scratching each other to death with customized titanium claws!

I was soooooo addicted to the original on the NGPC.
But... I'll probably be getting addicted to Pokemon this week. We'll see.

Picked up my copy of Pearl yesterday morning--and thanks to peer pressure got my boyfriend to play it (aargh! he's already further than I am!)
It was kinda weird being the oldest people in line (im 25, he's 29...)but hey, only as old as you feel.
And can't wait for capcom vs. snk card game--hope it's as fun as the pocket neogeo one--or is it a port, I havent been able to find that answer....

@22

It's not a port.

Screenshots on IGN show a different kinda environment, and their play test claimed 'everything has changed'. Even the card duelling mechanics. Not sure I'm happy or not about that, will reserve judgement until the European release...

We and one of my friends went up to Wal-Mart and just walked around the toy dept for about two hours. The great thing about Wal-Mart is that you never know what's going to happen... At about 11:42pm, a guy began to sing "Happy Birthday, to You" on the intercom, like the old pervert from Family Guy.

At 12:01am, we asked a guy if he could help us, but he didn't help. Though he pointed to the night-shift manager, telling us to go to him. Within 1:15min or so, we had both Diamond and Pearl and were gone.

I can see the future...

1. New Release next week, a Wii or DS game in a tired ran out game series, trying to unsuccessfully utilize the gimmicky nature of Nintendo's two underbuilt systems!
2. Rinse
3. Repeat

Agreed, I've been an avid player of every game since red and blue, the series may not change much but it never gets old to me. Pokemans ftw.
