Possible leak: New GH II downloadable tracks

The guys over at HarmonixFans received some special insider's information on the new Guitar Hero II downloadable content that will be coming to the XBLM. The information supposedly came from Microsoft certification documents that were obtained and detail three new track packs including songs from Pantera, The Ramones and ZZ Top. Complete listings of the rumored songs are posted after the break.

And even if this information turns out to be false, we know more DLC is coming and pray to the gaming gods and executives at Red Octane that they listened to their fans and adjusted their prices. How can they deny our loud and abrasive fanboy whining?

Damn, they have to package "Cowboys from Hell" with two crap songs... why not just put it with "Smoke on the Water" and "Godzilla"? I guess they have to find a way to get people to buy every pack... Thanks Red Octane... I still won't buy a single pack until the price drops though.

I've gotta say, the songs in those packs are a little better than the last ones, but I did sign that petition so I guess I can't buy any of them until there's a price drop.

You see us comin and you all together run for cover. Those are some nice tracks. Better than first batch. Cowboys is looking good...but not until the price drops! Stand firm.

I really hope they drop the price for these. I think I'll be buying the pack with Iron Man, Take Me Out and Smoke On The Water no matter what, though. I've been waiting for them to put Take Me Out on. That was one of my favorites from GH1.

Pfffft, I Like these songs but I am not only not buying these songs until the price drops but the game as well until these songs drop in price. Take that Red Octane! lol.

shit, gonna be hard not to buy pack 3 for me... must stand strong.... I'd like cowboys from hell too.... well shit I'd like to have all of them.....!!!! why can't the asses release all of them for like 30 bux and be done with it! fuckers...I'M not buying none! None I tell you!

Pack 2 and 3 would be definate purchases if they bring the price down.

So I guess they're aren't taking the advice of unbundling the songs so they must be lowering the price... right?

Fucking bundles. I want "I Love Rock and Roll, "I Wanna Be Sedated" and "Take Me Out"... all on different bundles which wouldn't be a problem at 300 MS points (maybe even 400) but at 500 I'm still buying nothing.

I would really like number 3 as well, but that doesn't change the fact that the prices are unacceptable. I'll hold strong with the rest of those taking the petition seriously.

CRAP! These songs are far better than the first 3 packs released. It's very tempting to go back on the petition since I do have some Microsoft points stored up..... BUT after reading on here that everyone is going to stand strong on the petition and not give in, then I will too! DON'T BUY UNTIL THE PRICE DROPS!!!

At 400-450 MSP I'd buy all three, at 500 I buy zero. At 500 MSP I'd still buy packs, if I was guaranteed 3 *good* songs in a pack.

Judging by the leaderboards, DLC penetration is less than 10% still. I think my opinions on this are pretty spot-on with the community's sentiment.

Come on, give me "No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age and I'll cave.

Drop the prices and make better song packs. Give me something like Cowboys from Hell, Symphony of Destruction, and Cheat on the Church.. I \might\ consider buying that pack for that bullshit price... maybe.

I want one song from pack one (Cochise, not Cowboys from Hell), two songs from pack two, and all of pack three. Well, at least they finally managed one pack I actually fully want. Still, this really sucks that I'm stuck paying so much and winding up with tracks I don't care about.

i think i might have to get pack #3. i know i dont wanna cave but those are my three favorite songs from gh1.

I guess RO/MS really don't give a flying F**K what the fans really want. I know for one that I wanted songs to be bought one at a time so I wouldn't get stuck with the "other S**T" that they just thriugh in to make a buck!! WOW, I thought that RO was a gamers type of company.......just another corperation lokking to screw it's fans, what a REAL shame!!!

Why no new songs? I want new songs, not just Guitar Hero 1 rehashes.

I'll be buying them. Price is fair IMO and I don't mind the bundles so far but I agree they should not be bundled.

I signed the petition, but I've no problem with the price per song, just the bundling.

Having said that, pack three looks like a must buy since all of the songs are some of my favs from GH1.

Pack 2 is tempting, but I don't want Godzilla. I only want I love Rock and Roll from the first pack.

Not sure if I'll hold out or not yet on the third pack.

If you break down and buy #3 don't feel too bad... that's actually an excellent set and I know I'll probably break down whenever they release "More Than a Feeling" no matter what they pair it with. Hopefully they've lowered the price. Just as Bethesda was quickly forgiven after the Horse Armor debacle so it can be for Red Octane/Activision here.

I exhort you all to stay strong if the prices are the same though and I'll try too when my song is released. Deal?
