personally I have always looked at strat guides like this:

You buy a game to enjoy it. You pop it in and you play the game. Once the company gets you purchasing their strategy guide you are no longer playing the game, the game is playing you. You're out more money and now you're following instructions to a game. How is that fun?

I love this! It doesn't insult the intelligence of '360 users at all. It actually complements it!

Come on Joystiq this is just nitpicking. Like you've already said this info is commonly available on the internet and its not a necessity for gamers to get so its entirely optional for people to buy. I would assume this ultimately benefits us as this likely subsidizes future content packages so stop whining, its not like we are being forced to buy these videos because it improves the game in some way (ie. horse armour).

So Brady puts out videos that are of suspect usefulness compared to a ton of free material and charges for them. So what? What's the big frigging deal. We get it that Joystiq hates paying for anything and in general hates Marketplace and thinks they know better how to run it the Microsoft. BUT I've said it before and I'll say it here again -- GET OVER IT. If you don't think these are worth $1.25 each, then do what I'm going to do and don't fucking buy them! I go into a lot of stores that sell stuff I don't want for too much money -- and guess what, I don't buy any of it. Marketplace is no different. How are these guide videos being on Marketplace any different that game guide books sitting on a shelf in EB or Gamestop?

Add me to the list of people who don't see why anyone is upset about this. No one's being forced to buy this stuff. If Brady Games wants to sell it and someone wants to buy it, why should anyone else care? *shrug*

I dont see this as a big deal they produced video stratagy guides and they are seeing if they will sell this is buisness. These kind of things have been sold before there have been books, videos, and phone numbers peddling this service for a long time. Now they dont seem terribly priced but they are not getting money from me as I would rather get mine the old fashion way or use gamefaqs.

Price gouging is one thing but this is just them selling stuff that isn't targeting me so I can't see why I should get mad. I will admit if I needed one more COG I might be tempted by this especially if I cant find it with other sources. There are actually people out there that bought their broadband connection for their xbox and I imagine some people dont know about gamefaqs or even this website(even if they do have a pc).

Why are people upset? 360 owners obviously love to spend money on stuff like this.

If they didn't, we wouldn't be seeing things like overpriced horse armor, expensive guitar hero song packs and now this.

If they really didn't want it, they wouldn't buy it. Simple really.
