here's a question to Namco. a Japanese RPG releasing in Japan. who are you trying to sell this to? Let's just say it's the game of the year, how many do you think you will sell? 200,000?

makes no sense for this game to stay xbox exclusive.

It would be strange if this turned out to be multiplatform. Only for the fact that MS is releasing a special Trusty Bell/360 bundle. How often do you see multiplatform games bundled like that? Honestly, anybody?

"This game will be perfect for the Wii"

You'll have to wait for Wii 1.5, when you'll get a half-ass port of a (then) 5 year old game.

Gorgeous! I hope they don't muck up the translation. I also wish they keep the original japanese voice tracks for us :/

Is it just me or does the whole 360 logo, Jump In thing mean this is 360 exclusive, atleast for a few months? Why does Joystiq even bother to add the PS3 tag?

Great, another reason for me to pick up a 360 in the near future. With a couple more RPGs and adventure games, the 360 will have a very well-rounded library of games, even if it is a bit "FPS heavy."

@2

Why do you think this game will only sell in Japan? It already has a different title in English so obviously it will be sold in more than one zone. Namco will sell more than a million in the US.

really? name me a Japan RPG that sold more than 1 million in US, EVER.

frankly, when Ninja Gaiden failed to sale 1 million in US on xbox, it's pretty evident that nothing Japanese will sell on xbox in US. :)

Bring it on PS3 and Wii right now if they don't want to lose money on a game that has potential to sell well.

This is not an xbox 360 exclusive, it was exclusive for some time, it and along with a few other games lost it's exclusivity to the ps3...why?

I don't know..I mean the 360 have the better online, larger install base, and cheaper....so why did it lose about 4 exclusive games to the inferior ps3 in the best few weeks?...I have no idea

open to theories

Because Jspanese gamers still refuse to trust the XBox, that's why.

Still, this looks quite lovely. The story is incredibly meloncholy, but the entire thing has an adorable, happy, perky chibi art style. And I do like the monster designs so far. Now let's just hope the battle system is worthwhile, because I'm getting really tired of the Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest-esque same old same old.

The fact the japanese xbox site has the "only on xbox 360" ( http://www.xbox.com/ja-JP/games/t/trustybell/ ) on it and the xbox 360 + Trusty Bell bundle indicates this may be the case.... if it does come to the ps3, expect it several months after.

It sure does look easy on the eyes. I just wish the roaming and, partially, the battle scenes were executed as well as the real-time cutscenes were. As most RPG's, the simplified maps to walk around in are always a small turn-off to me.

But hey, can't change the RPG in a day, can you?
