Same versions on both platforms? That's all fine and good, but I'll be rockn' my own music during the battle sequences on my 360. :D

well as an owner of both a 360 and a PS3, i dont see how i would be saving $200 if i got the 360 version. and the ps3 may come with MORE functionality? i dont htink you should jump to conclusions about your audience and assume they are gonna be buying either a $400 (or $480) or a $600 system for this game.

Sirpilf, Richard Mitchell was probably referring to people that are so into DMC that they were planning to buy a PS3 just for that game.

(I know two guys that were going to, until it was announced it's coming for the 360 as well.)

@ Sirpilf

Most likely the "MORE" functionality on the PS3 version will be the tilt action on the controller.

i don't own a ps3 or 360 but am quite intrested in this game. i think if anything the 360 is the better version if you can use your own music, rumble, achievments, and the controller is pretty sweet for action games like this
(like NG on xbox. DMC on Ps2 after awhile gave me wrist pains.

Yes, this whole "$600 for a single game" thing needs to be allowed to waft away into the past... Even the 360 was looking like an expensive way to play 'Geometry Wars' a little over a year ago for me.

I understand the logic (why pay more for the same quality of game) but some people want a PS3 and that is that. You can't play old PS2 games on a 360, you may not want a 360 with dongles (wifi, power brick, HD-DVD drive) all over the place, and you might not be too enthused about the sories of questionable quality you hear about the 360. I'm sure that if you know anyone who was waiting to decide which system to to buy based on 'Devil May Cry 4" you likely know some people who have had their 360 die on them.

Before I get flamed on, I'm a huge 360 fan (launch day, although that died a few months in and my replacement has been fine), but I also like my Wii and my PS3. I think the 360 is the best value right now, and for a long time, likely.

But that "$600 for a game" phrase has to be put to bed. Very, very few people do that sort of thing.

well this makes one game I won't buy for PS3, to make the game identical to one that will play on an inferior console is a ripoff to PS3 owners.

I did $400 for Oblivion basically... it was cheaper than getting a computer to play it.

@Scratchbox 360
Well actually the x360 has more graphics power. In a game like DMC4 I would think that the graphics horsepower would actually be more beneficial than processing power. So you could say it's the other way around ;) Ripoff to 360 owners, ripoff I tell ya :P

Wait, what the hell happened to Dante? I don't keep track of the storyline, but I thought Dante was the white haired Demon guy that you play as? Wtf?

So a previously ps3 exclusive game has, in less time, directly ported to the 360 and it looks just the same. 4D and all? :O
