You guys should fix your mic setup. There is a lot of noise from the mic rubbing up against your clothes.
C. Grant @ May 3rd 2007 12:15AM
That was Justin's mic. The gain was cranked way up to pick up his voice. It actually picked up my voice out of his headset, so I had to scrub that all out by hand! We'll have it corrected by the next time Justin is on. Thanks!

I only wish this was a video just to see Chris's amazing ability to emulate his cat playing with random crap.I think I was subconsciously mentally pummeled by Star Wars day.
shivr @ May 3rd 2007 3:37AM
awesome podcast :) I enjoy the levity and awkward jokes best, it is true geekdom :) and I... completly did not pick up on star wars day >_>
Purple Haze @ May 3rd 2007 4:53AM
Why no Ludwig? His names not that hard to pronounce.
Purple Haze @ May 3rd 2007 4:54AM
No offence to Justin i haven't listened to it yet but, I'm just wondering.
Jesse @ May 3rd 2007 9:42AM
you said you meant Coke II but that was discontinued in 1992, sorry
C. Grant @ May 3rd 2007 11:01AM
Jesse: Ah! But that's where you're wrong! Wikipedia exhautively covers the Coke spinoffs here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Coke
"By 1998, it could only be found in some scattered Midwestern markets, and sometime in 2002, New Coke was discontinued entirely."
New Coke of course being one of the many names of Coke II.
Diskoboy @ May 3rd 2007 12:11PM
Pac-Man Fever. I still have my tape of that I bought in 1982. And I'd go homeless before I ever sold it.
The original Columbia records album. Classic!
Oh - and New Coke (AKA Coke 2) was still avalible in Chicago in 2001. I tried one for old times sake. You wanna talk about bad flashbacks? It tasted like super-sweetened Diet Coke.
rob @ May 3rd 2007 3:11PM
Ok, so the imac is not meant for gaming. It has a pretty weak laptop graphics card.
C. Grant @ May 3rd 2007 3:21PM
rob: Vista ranks every part of the system, from the graphics card to the CPU, more than capable of handling Halo 2. The system handles Half-Life 2: Episode One with aplomb in XP, and chews through Vista's demanding Aero interface. It's just actual games that crawl on it. Drivers? Maybe. Optimization? In STALKERs case, most definitely, but I think Halo 2 for Vista was, sorta, built with Vista in mind.
Andy @ May 3rd 2007 5:17PM
I really enjoyed your very indepth coverage of Wii games, but next time could you focus a little bit on Halo 3? I feel it got the short stick.

I personally think that Justin has been a great addition to the Joystiq team. His articles have been tasty and fresh. Before you ask, no...this is not his dad.
manut @ Nov 7th 2008 11:54AM
Actually the last time the amazon had a Wii was on April 19, according to http://www.nowinstock.net/wii/index.php
Justin McElroy @ May 3rd 2007 8:23PM
Thanks for the kind words, not dad.
Purple Haze @ May 4th 2007 1:35AM
I agree, Justin has been a good addition. Good work! you did a good job replacing Ludwig.
Also I just wanna point out that I am not a crazy stoner, thats my brother. My name is Purple Haze because of the Jimi Hendrix song about drugs and not because of drugs directly.
C. Grant @ May 4th 2007 10:44AM
Hey Andy! Sure thing, you got it buddy. Just make sure to send us a tip at www.joystiq.com/tips/ as soon as any Wii games worth playing come out, kthxbai! =)
Andy @ May 4th 2007 2:55PM
I didn't realize Halo 3 already came out - my bad.
On the other hand, I read on this here Joystiq.com internet site that Nintendo just announced something like 120 games for Wii in 2007.
