IGN unearthed this list of games that have been announced by Nintendo to be released in Japan this year; so many, in fact, that we broke a federal ban on 300 jokes to write our headline. So, we'll give you a few upfront, but you're going to have to jump to get the rest of the goodness.

My Wii is dusty as hell, if I do turn it on its only so I can update it (hell if I know why). Looks like another generation of a Nintendo console where the only games worth owning will be made by Nintendo. At least I may finally end up owning a worthwhile game for this hunk of white plastic and electronics.

I bought a couple of these game games and if I must say there are a lot of games out there to be paid for. I am not sure if any of you have ever been to game stores but they have all kinds up ins. I bought Tenderman5 and JumpCross, both of which were powerhouses of exciteness. I will probably play all the games that are out but that might take a while. I will get back.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if Mario Galaxy, Metroid, and Smash Bros Brawl come out in '07... that would make this fall be HUGE for Nintendo.
Hopefully some good third party games will make their way out too, though...

Sorry, I would have been the first post on this thread but I was too busy playing The Godfather. Then I was going to come on after that, but I was too busy playing Prince of Persia. Then, after I got done playing that, a little paper plumber asked me to help him beat some Count. I couldn't resist, so posting got put off yet again. And then I was almost ready to make this post, but I was too busy playing Punch Out. And then I was like hell, they won't miss me if I play a quick game of Bonk's Revenge. And then, well, I had Starfox 64 just sitting there waiting for me, you know how it is, you can't just say "No." And then, finally, I got around to making this post. And then I forgot my whole point. Well, hopefully I'll post again soon. There's some web slinging guy coming over this Friday to show me around NYC.

As for me...once i beat super paper mario i've gone back to the PS3 Motorstorm and FEAR online are great fun. Good news though! I love all my consoles :3

My wii isn't dusty. I had people playing wii sports and Excite Truck at a party this past weekend. I just finished Godfather: Blackhand two weeks ago (yeah, I FINISHED it). When I recover from the beat down that I got from paying my taxes, I will be working through Super Paper Mario or Spiderman 3.
Am I the only person really psyched for Battallion Wars 2?
Oh, and they delayed MP3 to add multiplayer. When they originally announced it, it was announced as a single player game, but since they delayed it, they have been totally mum about MP3 multiplayer.

Hmm. I'd be bored with my Wii if I wasn't having such good fun with Paper Mario. But once I'm done with that... I'll probably replay Trauma Center. And when that gets boring... I'll play Excite Truck! But that'll get tired eventually... good thing I have Godfather. But even that should get boring, so thats when I'll break out Wii Sports! But its a pack-in title, so the fun of that'll wear off... Good thing I have a bunch of VC titles to play! But I'll beat those sooner or later...
The only people complaining about a 'serious drought' are the ones who aren't looking for the good games. Believe it or not, they're there.
Still, though, a few more games wouldn't hurt... oh well. Might as well get in a few hours of Zelda before the night is over.

And with the exception of the power and eject buttons, my Wii is pretty dusty, too. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't sit there and caress and pet my consoles..

So, it looks like the Wii is going to be just like the DS in its first year. Then, once it's been out for a year, that's when the good games start pouring in and 3rd party support really takes off.
That's been my prediction since the controller was first revealed.

Then you have the spring update which comes out May 5th, and the Halo 3 Beta around May 18th, 2007. Then IPTV release with the fall 07' update, along with a price drop come Holiday 07'. So if the Wii games are going to blot out the rising sun in 07' then Xbox 360 games will probably bring about the 4 horsemen, Armageddon, and the return of Jesus Christ throughout 07 and 08. And I haven't even listed all the games. Most likely we'll see some form of these games.

Why? What is it about fracking Mario, Donkey Kong that keeps people coming back for over 2 decades? Nintendo keeps pushing the same crap with a different dress and eediots keep lapping it up like it is the greatest thing.
For perspective...can you imagine the backlash Sony would get if all they kept releasing was Crash Bandicoot Racing, CB Bowling, Spyro the Dragon Party, etc. etc. What a load of crap. If Sony did what Nintendo does and not come up with new and exciting original franchises over and over, I would not have had a PS2 or a PS3. Thankfully, they have not.
Here are my opinions on the games for the WeeCube.
SSBB, never cared for fighting games, having said that, I am sure it would make a fun party game but a boring single player game.
Donkey Kong (whatever)-Complete crap.
Wee Heath-Pack I have no idea what this is.
Disaster Day of Crisis-Should be alot of fun.
MP8-10 years from no there will be a MP20 something...need I say more.
Project Hammer-No comment.
Wee Music-I do not know anything about this title, but I am sure it will prove to be fun, innovative, and interesting game that will probably be even more fun with a crowd.
SMG-Have not cared for the Plumber since the NES. Stop it Nintendo, just stop allready.
Battalion Wars-Meh
Forever Blue-No comment due to lack of knowing anything about this game.

People who have Wees hate them because after the initial hype and difference in how you play the game....they realise that all they bought for $250 was an RF motion controller with 7 year old hardware.
by the way, another company who in my opinion constantly pushes the envelope with new technology AND innovation just announded the Playstation Eye.
Voice recocnition from different people in the same room at the same time. Gesture recognition w/o a wand. So, Sony now has potentially a motion and voice control interface Minority Report Style.
Just my 2 cents....take it or leave it I do not care.

The two things we've learned in this thread:
1.) People who don't like the Wii love talking about how much they don't like it.
2.) The 360 has a crapton of shooters, sequels and EA sports games coming to it.
Also, we can pay over $700 to wave our hands around at a gimmicky system with tacked on motion controls, courtesy of Sony. (Man, it feels good to troll some days...)
Anyway, I really can't wait for the rest of the 2007 Wii lineup. I also can't wait to see what EA does with Wii controls on NBA Live.

Yes, this is just Nintendo's list, they can't very well announce release dates for games that are not theirs. As for Japan (which this list is for) they are also supposed to see a number of third party games this year like Dragon Quest Swords and a Gundam game.

longshotx is right. this list is terrible! why is there no 3rd party games listed!? certainly it cant be because this is a list of NINTENDO created/published games! of course not! This list of nintendo published games doesnt have any non nintendo published games, thus there are no 3rd party games coming out this year! It makes perfect sense! I am going to be like LongShotX and complain about systems that I don't have instead of acknowledging that all of the consoles have fun games! And when a shitty game comes out for Wii, i will use that single game as proof that EVERY game for wii is terrible, but when a great PS3 game comes out, I will use that as proof that EVERY ps3 game is fantastic! We all know that one game is proof of every other, right? What do you mean Genji was bad? don't you know, PS3 has RESISTANCE, which is great, which means GENJI IS GREAT TOO!
