Five more leaks aboard the SS Halo 3

It won't be long before we get our hands on the Halo 3 Beta, which is good because that ship is leaking badly. First, the 7-1/2 minute leak, which we promptly tore asunder, and now five videos leaked by YouTube user bipchizzle (something tells us that's not his real name) are just waiting for a salty old prospector to concentrate his trained eye and discern dirt from gold. Before we get to that point, peep the latest vids and try to spot the M6G pistol, the new map, Epitiah, and our buddy Major Nelson. Warning: videos may not be safe for work (salty old prospectors need not worry).

If you're using a mage, I wouldn't recommend anything other than a staff. They sell them in the Imperial MarketPlace.

Also, before I started closing the Oblivion Gates, I went through and did all the Mage Guild tasks. That way I got better robes, and spells.

Just a warning, if you gain a level, so do the enemies. I'm sittin at level 28, and most of the guys now have reflect spell on them, and resist fire/ice/shock spells on them. Kinda sucks, lol.

Conjuration spells are pretty important, summoning a zombie (or Daedric Spider) helps out, because usually the enemies go for them instead of you.

Thanks. I went through the gate last night and went into the tower. I faced two goblins then went upstairs to only get killed in like two hits by this asshole. I have been using the shock touch and the steel claymore. I need to join the thief or mage guild.

If you unequip your claymore, your shock touch will do more damage.

I found out (the hard way) if you wear all light armor (like chain mail) and wear a dagger/shield... that your damage from spells is hindered by a lot.

If you go to your magic page, at the bottom it should say: "Spell Effectiveness: " with a certain %. At % it does exactly what it says. Well worth it.

Oh and you can join more than one guild, it doesn't make a difference, I'd say join the mages guild till you get the spell called "Wizard's Wrath" or something like that. It does fire/ice/shock on target, and it uses like 40-50 mana.

I'm afraid I'm going to have my ass handed to me in Halo 3... I was pretty good when it came to Halo and Halo 2 but I haven't really played for about a year. Those that haven't stopped playing Halo 2 are just going to destroy me when Halo 3 comes around. I'm afraid... Very afraid...

Just a note he says "This is the map 'Epitah' or '-taph', whatever" when the fourth video starts.

So, since this guy doesn't seem to be the britest in the first place, I'm guessing it is Epitaph.

I've stated that a million times before, but in the end... I just got flamed for hating Halo.

Halo was one of the first "Mainstream", and easily accessible FPS games out there. So the word "Halo" holds a special place in alot of people's hearts.

Where-as my heart is taken by Unreal Tournament... or possibly Goldeneye. (Which they wont make a Goldeneye2, obviously).

I understand some people complaining it looks just like the previous game with better graphics. But that kind of complaint only makes sense to me if it is leveled at a game like Tenchu Z. Where the game really needs to fix issues of the previous iteration(s), where the game needed to add more features to make the game more fun, etc. I don't agree that Halo needs some drastic overhaul just so they can say they innovated. It would only screw up everything they worked this long to perfect.

GRAW innovated the Ghost Recon series with the crosscom system and all that. It sure didn't make the game better to me, it cluttered the scren with neon crap. I still like GRAW and GRAW 2, but I do so in spite of the innovation to the series, not because of it. I really want a Ghost Recon game that looks like GRAW but plays like the old Ghost Recon games, and I'm not the only one.

So if you are going to complain the Halo 3 looks like a prettied up version of Halo 2, at least try and explain to us what makes that so horrible to you. What where you wanting Halo 3 to be?Obviously "better looking", "larger maps", "more equipment", etc isn't what you were hoping for. Did you want it to be 3rd person like Gears? Turn based strategy? Where you hoping they would include a card battle system? Where you just hoping it was something that wasn't Halo at all?

@19 I've never owned any Xboxes and my only taste of Halo has been the Mac demo, but still saying things like that is just stupid.

I mean, what did you expect from a sequel? The game has better graphics, huge levels, new weapons, new vehicles and one completely new(altough small) gameplay element, the equipment thingies. What more do you want?! :P

Halo3 looks like Halo2 with better graphics, bigger levels, different weapons, and minor gameplay elements like man-cannon and equipment. Well, no shit sherlock. That's why they called it Halo3 and not Cooking Mama. That is what a sequel is. A game built to extend the story and give people who like the Halo formula a new game they will surely like as well. Der-da-der. If that is the best comment you can make, don't even bother.

The videos look good. Halo3 is shaping up nicely it appears. Bungie has dumped more resources into this installment than either of the other two Halo games. I am really hoping for 4 player coop and massive numbers of enemies on huge battlefields over Live.

The only thing more uncool than a bad comedian is a question dodger. Actually, I'm not sure if that is true or not but you get what I'm saying.

If you keep dodging the question I will have no choice but to assume you are, indeed, just a Halo-hater. And then it will be your credibility that is in question.

I'm just asking for an explaination of how a bigger and better looking sequel is a bad thing. Complaining that it looks like a better looking Halo 2 is like dumping your girlfriend because she looks even sexier now, and you'd rather have intercourse with a barnacle because, hey...innovation!

Yes, I'm sure that analogy unfairly and innacurately characterizes your view. But if it makes you respond with a better explaination, all the better.

Haha, that was an amazing analogy Gimbal. If I hated Halo I'm sure just that point alone would turn my views around completely.

I hate this guy that leaked these videos... first of all he is the biggest dumb ass ever, with the gayest speech impediment I have ever heard anyone ever use and second, he is ruining the surprise of the Halo 3 Beta for me!

This sucks, and I am glad he is definitely going to be banned and sued.
