Video: portable lifts and turrets in Halo 3
18
Update: It was inevitable. The video have been removed. Ah, well. It won't be long before we'll all get to experience the goodness for ourselves.
The Bungie ninjas must be having a tough day today. After 5 Halo 3 videos were leaked earlier today, we've found yet another video. What's more, this video confirms two brand new items in Halo 3. First, the portable gravity lift is a reality. Second, Halo 3 will feature portable turrets. The video above shows both items in action. It's not know whether all turrets are portable or if they are equipment items similar to the bubble shield. Once a turret is picked up, the game switches to a 3rd person viewpoint, presumably allowing players to hose down opponents on foot.
Will there be any secrets left by the time the beta arrives?
[Thanks to jason for spotting this video]

oh man that lift looks so awesome! how many power-ups,add-ons,gadgets, etc are they gonna throw in here. lol i can imagine someone chasing me on foot or warthog and randomly pull that out of my ass and totally trip them out. and the turret looks sick, especially with 3rd person view. go all terminator on their asses.

Wow... The leaks are endless.. Keep em comming boys! No but seriously.. WTF! I dont understand how anything stands a chance against a turret-wielding-spartan.. I hope all can be balanced, but I guess thats why they are having all these tests(Alpha, Internal Beta, Public Beta)in the first place. I can already see the depressed faces of all those hardore MLG players.. HAHAHA.

Honestly, who cares what secrets are left? We'll know them after a game or two anyways.
Anyways, it's still looking sweet and awesome.

How is it that the graphics in this horribly shot video look better than the graphics in that last video that got "Leaked"? I'm really starting to think that the last video wasn't Halo 3 at all, and that this is the first we are really seeing of it. Especially since the map from the last video isn't even going to be in the Beta. Or am I late to the party, and it's already been confirmed or denied as legit?

i think its dumb how you pick up an item and it doesn't show your hands picking it up or dropping it.
it just "plops".
the illusion is lost. i hope they fix this in the final version.
that is all.
