One thing we like to tell people concerning Halo 3 is that the game itself is much farther along than most people think. In this weeks update, Frankie continues the trend of dissing Halo Deuce and talks at length about the cinematic process of Halo 3. With a dedicated staff of 35 animators sporting credits like Lord of the Rings and Shrek, Frankie says that the cinemas in Halo 3 will wind up being "one of the more memorable aspects of Halo 3, and put the bookends on a Campaign game that's becoming something special."
This weeks update is light on gritty details, but this Monday we should be hearing of a patch for the recently released Halo 2 Blastacular map pack. Both Desolation and Tombstone feature their fair share of glitches from super jumping to allowing players to jump out of the map. Just last week, the folks over at ScrewAttack introduced us to the invisible walls by handing us a rocket launcher and giving us a free shot and a suicide on our score chart. Thanks, friends!
The update will also be charging those that managed to download the maps for free while the system in place was, how should we say? Less than satisfactory. The Man isn't letting you go that easy, suckers!
Finally, Frankie addressed all the leaks as of late, saying "while it makes us angry that some people want to ruin the surprise for others, the real joy of the Beta is in the playing. We hope you'll agree." He also mentioned that on May 15th -- a day before the public Beta -- Bungie.net will be updated with tons of information regarding the Beta, including but not limited to FAQs, tips and tricks, map guides and more.
