Masaya Matsuura, of Parappa the Rapper fame, also created another one of our favorites, the higly creative Vib Ribbon. In a interview with Gamasutra, Matsuura-san said he was in talks with the powers-that-be to rework the title for release on the PS3. No dates were given, but further speculation by 1UP suggests the title would be more appropriate as a downloadable game on the PLAYSTATION Network than a simple rerelease.
Originally released for the Sony PlayStation, Vib Ribbon allowed the user to insert any audio CD and transform the music of their choice into a playable level, where successes were viewed as an evolution of the main character you were controlling: (a common theme amongst another PLAYSTATION Network exclusive).

Could Vib Ribbon go to PLAYSTATION Network?

OMG! I still play my cough*burned*cough copy of this! I freaking love it! I NEED this game on the PSN!
I always thought it was vid ribbon though, guess ive been spelling it wrong for years.
I hope they include the original soundtrack, although if you have the game, you can just play it in any cd player.

Hmmm neat concept. But what i would like to see in the ps3 version of Vib Ribbon is the same feature (music cd) like on playstation 1. But i would alxo like to take the songs i`ve got stored on my hard drive disk (60 gig) and play those stored song on Vib Ribbon. Plez put this feature in this version sony. It would make Vib Ribbon much more enjoyible.

wow. Last week I was trying to describe this game to my gf, and I said it would be perfect for the PSN. I even went and downloaded the soundtrack. Maybe Sony are monitoring my thoughts!
(oh, they can't be. I don't remember wishing for a £425 paperweight with no games on it)

Uhhhh couldn't my Commodore Vic-20 handle these graphics?
Oh wait it was my C-64... and I think the game was Elite.
Looks like Guitar Hero with bad visuals.

GP...that is why it would be a PSN game not a BD game.
Since we are throwing up old machines this would look awesome on a Vectrex!

I hope they bring this. Ever since playing Parappa and researching it's creator, I have been looking for Vib Ribbon for PSOne, to no effect. Hope it includes the original music too, which is awesome.
