Next Kingdom Hearts to be portable spin-off, not KHIII

Ever wonder what "King" Mickey was really doing in the World of Darkness -- or how he got his mitts on that keyblade? Well, Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura has told Famitsu that the next Kingdom Hearts game will explain just that, CVG reports. Nomura isn't talking Kingdom Hearts III (as EGM speculated), but rather a spin-off entry bound for portability. "[It] would be hard to choose if to make the game for the PSP, NDS or the cell phone," teases a rough translation of Nomura's comments to Famitsu.The designer hinted that the side-story would play "slightly different" than the rest of the Kingdom Hearts series. "I want to ... change the system a little," said Nomura, adding, "The multi-developing makes me want to put it on something else [other than consoles.]" Sounds like Nomura isn't interested in sharing any one game on multiple platforms. So when can we poll the rest of Square Enix on this issue?

It's very simple Mr. Nomura, you pull a DQIX (Dragon Quest IX), make it for the DS, and make millions.
As far as the cell phone comment goes, I actually walked into a Verizon Wireless store yesterday and saw Phoenix Wright on a cell phone. *Gag* Don't do it.

I'm still waiting on a US release of KH2:FM+.
And if that means that I have to go out and buy another console (Xbox 360 *shudder*), I just might have to.
(PS. To all the would-be flamers: I have nothing against the 360, it's just my current funds will not allow me to purchase one. I would like to have one, I just have my money invested in a Wii, a DS, a GameCube, and a PS2. Not to mention a new Cell Phone (LG AX8600 *sweeeeetness!*), and countless other things that make living day to day possible.)

I DL'ed that gimped version of Kingdom Hearts on my cell phone.
...and about 45 minutes later called Verizon and demanded my money back (and they listened!)
Unless it's a REAL simple game like Tetris or Space Invaders, cell phone games suck...and even those games are kinda gimped.
Games on cell phones = BAD. Always have,been always will be.

I really hope it comes to the PSP, even though i have both a PSP and a DS. The PSP could really use an original big name action rpg title, and this would put it over the top in my opinion. Not to mention up until now, SE has been giving all the love to the DS. Although Im very happy to see my old favorite, FFT come to the PSP with extra content.
