Guess I know what to buy now.

Hmm...not much but at least it's more than HD-DVD is offering this week (0). I guess both camps are holding on their best movies for the launch bonanza after Pirates/Matrix week. Netherless, Blu-Ray is still gaining more ground but it's still long away from a decisive victory.

I'm simply comparing him to the other bloggers who twist the facts more. No need to get rude, it makes things more unpleasent.

Does anyone know when any tv shows are getting released on blu-ray? The one advantage blu ray has (size) is not being used. How bout an entire season of your favourite show on one BRD.

I think you could put about 30 hours of TV shows, in 480i, which would be extremely cool. Almost two seasons worth for many shows. On the other case, if your tv show is in high definition, you could likely not squeeze more than 6 hours in 1080i (which is standard broadcast tv format in my area.) And if they are filming your tv show in 1080p (possible, even if it's not a standard broadcast signal), then you would get half that. That's on a double sided BluRay, divide everything by two for a single sided.

At least from Sony's catalogue they have already said that for the time being they are only putting TV shows to BD that can benefit from from the technology (they mention dramas). They are leaving the 'archival' use of BD until later and using it as a showcase instead...

That being said I want MASH.
